Re: MusE 3.1pre4

Hi can you show a picture? Not sure which bar you mean. Drag and drop works. Drag a midi file into the Arranger. But you are presented with the same import dialog. The same three questions. So I'm not sure if that solves the issue. Are you saying you want to selectively import only certain tracks th...

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

I will try to expose it.
Also, I will try to expose the colour of our 'Header title item" class that you see in so many menus (the title item).
It currently cannot be seen well with our stylesheets.

Re: [Audio effects rack] New! Size increased from 4 to 8 !

Just to add: As a guitar player I know this will help you guys. On one of my CDs I made a bold move to put aside my expensive rack gear and use only LADSPA effects. Yes, only LADSPA ! For guitar, for the complete chain that meant: a) Distortion b) Chorus c) Flanger d) Reverb e) Delay f) Amp VTS g) C...

Re: Note on tick 0 not played

Oh. Yes I was going to mention that. The latency setting has a bug in that the first fraction of second is silent. It also has a bug in that if looping with wave tracks, errors will appear. Although you don't appear to be using wave tracks. I am working hard to solve these issues. It may take some t...

Re: [Audio effects rack] New! Size increased from 4 to 8 !

Correct.
The last picture may be a bit misleading, I lengthened it a wee bit before capturing.
But I was pleasantly surprised at just how uncluttered it is with 8.
It only extends mildly past the corresponding bottom portion of midi strips.
So not too terribly shabby after all.

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

Hey ho everyone ! To abuse an expression... "And then there were 8"... https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=20797 This is it, no looking back to 4 plugins. It's a bold move. Please test. Still, should be no trouble at all with 8 vs. 4. It's just a number. But lemme know if g...

[Audio effects rack] New! Size increased from 4 to 8 !

In git master now: * NEW - Audio effects rack size increased from 4 to 8 : * New right-click context menu entry on strip labels: "effects rack visible items". Here's the new menu: effects rack items.jpg Here's the new scrollbar , with 4 rack items visible. Pardon my quick whip-up of the sc...

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

Scrollbars would allow us to put any amount in the rack, while still showing only four at a time. I have long been meaning to look into it. But it was a bummer knowing that we must give up precious horizontal pixels for a scrollbar. However, I have seen very thin scrollbars and I'm keen to try it. A...

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

Excellent question. Yes. Still at four. The ability to quickly and instantly change that in the code with one simple value change , has existed for a long time now. One reason it has not been done yet was the mixer strips. It was a question of available space on the mixer strips at the time. It has ...

Re: Helm not saving presets

Ah yes, enable the option in our Settings to actually select a different UI.
Then choose a different UI when prompted to, when opening the UI.
I forget which one, but choose the 'other' one.
It works fine with it. There are some problems with the default one.

Re: [Jack Transport Master] Some fixes and new button

Thanks.
The icons have changed.
Also, there was a gross misnomer throughout:
It should be called "timebase master" not "transport master". My bad.

[Jack Transport Master] Some fixes and new button

In git master now. Hi all. Just a note about this fix. Hopefully the new button, which looks like a red triangle with a key (master, get it?), is self explanatory, there are tooltips , but here goes: transport master 1.jpeg (Yeah I know, the icon(s) may need some tweaking.) First, MusE was not assum...

Re: Two songs made with Muse -

Hi oscillator! Thanks for sharing this. I'm always sweating when someone says they made music with MusE  I worry was it too much trouble? Was it worthy? I care about impressions of open source, at least in our little corner. Most of all I care about music and have a desire for us to be able to...

Re: [For coders / stylesheet authors] Introducing the Snooper

Oh. Well, this explains it then, I didn't realize it was a scrollable area:

QMdiArea:
Inherits:
QAbstractScrollArea

Mm, yeah, well of course it's gonna eat up keys, eh?

And, yes, I believe it is possible the absence of these keys may affect our ability to scroll the area.
