Re: CALF plugins?

I am not happy with posts like "As for the rest of them I pretty much avoid them largely due to the bad press here" "I will avoid the Calf plugins from now on although I liked the gui and the handling very well. This means that people don't trust their ears but rely on some technical...

Re: Superpocket - recorded and mixed with Ardour

The song has a serious Beatles vibe to it or that psychedelic almost kind of jazz sensation it gives me. I personally thought it was a cool track!

Re: CALF plugins?

Calf is a great plugin suit. I'm surprised that Falktx or someone like that haven't continued it.. Same as these eq10q.

Thank goodness we have Vladimir and his LSP... They are superb!!

anyone using YSFX?

Hey, I like using some of Reaper's plugins while mixing in Mixbus32C. Recently, I needed to use it and when I tried to load it, Mixbus32C just hangs until I kill it. Nothing has been done for over a year with YSFX at their github site. It works with Ardour though. Anyone experiencing any funky activ...

Re: Neural Record

This is slightly off topic, but I thought Audio Assault plugins generally have linux versions. Looking at their website, https://audioassault.mx , I don't see anything called bassgrinder, however. It's a free plugin that they don't make anymore. This was before they started to support our platform....

Re: Neural Record

Yep I'm gonna try this if it is what I think it is.. Can I capture a Windows vst amp that's running under wine? I love the Audio Assault Bassgrinder free vst which runs under wine but when I use it, I get my tone quickly the commit the track as we all know that all it takes is a wine update and we a...

Re: Anybody had luck installing Goyo voice separator?

Yabridge. It's runs Windows VSTs the best IMO. That's what works for me. I just installed Goyo as I meant to do so some time ago.

Re: Small problem with Mixbus 32C with AvLinux MXE

I'm on Arch and I've tried all of the top distros out there and I still come back to it. Again, each is owned but the problem is with the mixbus product. I have Mixbus32c And I would be mixing and within two to five minutes it starts this gurgly like if it's on the water sound and it would start sp...

Re: Drumgizmo overheads

I guess technically, the OH mics are a metre or so from the other drums so this will experience a delay of 3ms or so between them and a close snare mic. This may give a beneficial effect like a short ER delay, or not. Well I actually saw a video on YouTube on how to make the drum room sou...

Re: Drumgizmo overheads

That's what I found out years ago when one of the guys showed me how to just edit the script before they had the bleed slider there. I have to go edit the overheads and the room to make sure that everything stayed in there but then I was able to clean up all the closed mics. Now to improve my mixing...

No I'm trying to avoid phasing. The majority of IR loaders for guitar cabinets that have seen because they're specific for guitar cabinets, there's a button there to check for phasing issues. I'm not looking to create any of the sound I'm just trying to avoid any phasing issues but we do not have th...

IR cab loader

Hey I'm just wondering if Linux audio has any IR cab loaders. I use LSP impulse response, the stereo version to load multiple cab IRs to blend different cabinets. The thing is, unlike the plugins that are made specifically for cab IR in windows and Mac, I found nothing here that handles phasing issu...
