Re: System font's too small

I tried installing xubuntu 20.04 in a virtual machine and I think I experience your problem.

The font is not too small but I can find no way to change it, not through qt5ct either. I have no idea currently where MusE/Qt gets this font from.

Re: System font's too small

I can change DPI and language but the problem is that it'll affect the whole system. Interesting that there's option "System" in Fonts settings but it is greyed out. system.jpg It's grayed out here too. I don't know for sure but it could be for informational purposes that this font is con...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal

Hey Milo, thanks, no later than myself it seems :) And thanks for all the flowers regarding the details, much appreciated! I don't remember off the top of my head where the calf delays were used but likely the solo guitars. I'll remember your suggestion on using it to make vocals sound bigger! Thank...

Re: Is It Possible To open Muse in Safe Mode?

man muse4 For your problem you could try muse4 -V Nothing wrong with looking at man pages but I realize the man-page we maintain is horribly out of date. And it seems the -V parameter is wrong even. :-o muse4 -h will give a more complete list of parameters to try. In the case of skipping VSTs the p...

Re: Naked God feat Tenaba - Hunt the Hunters [EBM/industrial/metal]

Those are some very low guitars :D very cool. Doom 2016 vibes!

Sometimes it gets a bit over-compressed, pulsing. Likely several instruments competing in the low mid-low range causing the multiband(?) compressor to suppress certain bands?

All in all very angry, like it a lot!

Re: Why the notation editor is so important

it has an Event Filter? Yes, but unlike Cakewalk, the event filter window doesn't automatically appear whenever you issue a command, There's a menu item to open the event filter. You have to use that to select the events you want filtered, Then, after the events are selected, you can issue a comman...

Yeah! Finally some more music in Swedish :D

Listening on head phones it sounds good and heavy. And those angry vocals!

And thought provoking lyrics and video. Top of the food chain, that's us...

Re: "nowhere hills" a new ambient experiment

On the one hand I kinda don't understand this kind of music.

On the other hand I like it, very soothing.

So I guess I do understand it. :D

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks @milo and @Basslint.

I really like experimenting with voices, sometimes it works pretty good. Usually I only have access to my own voice which does give a particular texture to the choirs.

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal

Wow! I mean: WOW! This is a great sound. A little surprising to discover a song with a bit of a back-to-the-roots attitude behind this modern, fat production. I wanted to ask about the drums, since I listened yesterday, before having read the full post. Even that aside, the guitars have a great bru...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal

Really cool stoner metal tone. I like this mix, so I don't have too many comments. My only nitpick is that the kick sounds like something you'd hear more in modern metalcore than stoner metal (the punchy, scooped mids with lots of high end). Not a bad thing to mix and match tropes though. Overall, ...

Thanks folks for the kind words :) Och jag tycker om att höra den svenska texten på vad som är för mig dialekt! Borde göra en hårdsynt-låt på svenska! :D (Sorry people for the Swedish comment! :) ) Jag har varit på ett korståg sen många år att göra musik på svenska med dialekt, det tycker jag absolu...

It's been a long time coming, some metal

Hi folks, There are many opinions to be had about the last few years, suffice to say the last year has not been that good for my music productivity. I have always wanted to make more detuned metal but the crux is getting to the finish line. Not sure when I started this piece, could be coming up on a...
