Re: Are there fades and crossfades implemented?
1) The OP mentions two overlapping wave parts on the same track . The two wave parts in question MUST overlap. Otherwise there's no crossfade. Therefore it is the amount that they overlap that will determine the slope of the fade out. Want a slower crossfade? Overlap them some more. Want a differen...

Re: compiling MusE requires lv2 1.18
It would seem the README is unfortunately wrong. Checking the logs, the lv2 version dependence was increased a while ago for better support of HiDPI screens. So, support for lv2 on older distros seem unfortunately limited. I guess your options are: Use the appimage update lv2 manually update your di...

Re: How to open Audacity ?
If Audacity is in the path, which it should be, you only need to enter 'audacity' in the launch configuration. Using an external editor for editing wave files requires that you first open it in the wave view. Which is what is opened when you double click the part. From there you select the part of t...

Re: muse4 issues.
Hey thanks for the reply but if the laptop and the desktop are running the same Arch, shouldn't both have the same version of python as I do a daily update as Arch being a rolling release distro? Indeed they should but clearly the python library has gone missing. Maybe the other machine has both py...

Re: muse4 issues.
Hi man, I've had something similar happen to me recently. I think it is likely that your python installation has been updated to 3.10 and the file MusE was linking to vanished. running python3 --version should give an indication. If you built muse yourself then remove the build dir from the sources ...

Re: Crash with Master Appimage
Thanks for the report! I would think this is likely a new issue with master as there has been some bigger internal redesigns. I'm not sure I understand the details of the undo-system enough to solve this quickly (also recovering from the flu at the moment ;) ) but I did some testing and think that I...

AppImages with new base image
Good morning MusErs, long time no hear, sorry to say... I just wanted to mention that the AppImages are since yesterday based on Ubuntu 20.04 image instead of 18.04. Though AppImages by themselves are distro independent, they are infact built on a base image from a standard distro. The reason for th...

Old thread but thought I would comment for future readers.
Installing g++-multilib worked here on Kubuntu 20.04. Wasn't building the same package but wine related so probably similar.

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature
The README.txt in the scripts folder is wrong. It says: PARTLEN <len in ticks of the current Part> but there is no such tag. But, there is a PART <start tick> <len in ticks> which I use. Alright, seems the format changed at some point, feel free to update the README.txt I wonder why though, the tic...

Ah, indeed! It doesn't appear to be in the repository, maybe it wasn't actually added in git?oscillator wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 8:44 pm Well, I did a timestretch script, and sent a pull request for that one, I don't know why it doesn't show up:

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature
Hi Grayson, I think you are correct, it does not exist currently. It would however be perfectly doable to implement with a script, both reverse and stretching (kind of, we already have SpeedHalf and SpeedDouble), but before rushing to do so I'd ask anyone who wishes to dip their feet in script writi...

Re: Is possible restore the height of the tracks?
Is possible restore the height of the tracks with a GUI button or some shortcut? There was no shortcut for this but there is now in current master (and subsequently in the master-appimage) Meta+H now adjusts the height of tracks. If there are resized tracks the first press will shrink all tracks to...
