Re: No hope

A beautiful song with great lyrics! The guitar adds a lot to the sound. Nice arrangement too!

I think your singing is continuously improving.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature

I've finished the script and the changes in script.cpp and made a pull request (https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/pull/1071). And learned more about how MusE works internally! :)

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature

Alright, seems the format changed at some point, feel free to update the README.txt Will do! :) My stance has been to keep the format as simple as possible but if there is no way to find this out (I guess you could determine this if all notes are 32 ticks, but that may not be the best solution...),...

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature

So, I think I have a working Reverse script: import sys,time testFile = open(sys.argv[1],"r") inputEvents = testFile.readlines() testFile.close() for line in inputEvents: if line.startswith('PART'): tag,startticks,partticks = line.split(' ') outputEvents=[] #loop through events for line in...

I seemed to have messed up but I did a new pull request with the file, I hope that is the right way to fix it. :)

Re: Lars Domino - Ge upp [rock-pop]

I definitely prefer the slow version, but the way you saw it from the other side is amazing as well as video sequence. It is so inconsistent with the audio that at first you are perplexed, and then go nuts. I also like the idea and the words. Have been thinking about making something like this myse...

Re: Lars Domino - Ge upp [rock-pop]

Possibly the slow version even more so. Is that singing in the dark to push the scares away or the conviction that sad lyrics don't need sad chords, because that would make it kitsch? I'm not sure, I have a drive to make things grittier, but that seldom happens. Then I wouldn't need many chords at ...

Re: Desert Rain

Those guitars are tight! Wonderful intro!

Ths strings work great with the guitars.

I think the start of the singing sounds "too close" to the mic, I would like more reverb and distance.

I would like more bass! :)

Great composition and melodies! More, please! :)

Re: Dancing on 3rd street

That is a cool fun track! Great song, and I like the "plucks" a lot, really nice programming overall! The production is top notch (as always), extremely crisp!

You have a personal singing style, it is airy and flowing. It adds character to the song.

Re: Reverse MIDI part similar to Fugue Machine/Bitwig's MIDI reverse feature

Well, I did a timestretch script, and sent a pull request for that one, I don't know why it doesn't show up: https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/issues/1037 https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/pull/1065 But for the reverse thingie, SpeedHalf should be a good starting point as it doesn't have a...

Lars Domino - Ge upp [rock-pop]

So, the world is going to hell, just when I though the pandemic started to fade, we have what is starting to look like a world war. The consequences, human suffering, animal suffering, even more destruction of the environment, food shortage, energy shortage. Well, I live in a safe place (at least fo...

Re: Golden Word of Ukraine (video)

That was a tough watch, still I without much thought about consequences use war imagery in my videos. At a distance, you really succeed in integrating music and video, there are some really good cuts. I feel so sorry for all the human suffering, and the suffering of the animals. That dog that stands...

Re: Swell Season cover

I think I commented this on FB :) Really great singing! I would have put a bit more reverb on the voice, and put forward some of the guitars, they don't really balance.

Beautiful!

Re: Springtime!

It is so cool to see this evolve live! Thumbs up! A bit of Close contact (that Steven Spielberg movie) theme vibe! :) That pad is very nice. And the contrast to the wooden blocks is nice also. Maybe some kind of "other thing" happening, a change of harmonics would have been exciting, but I...
