Jup - curious, since I'm pretty sure our mails don't have authentication information either .autostatic wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 11:32 am So that differs from the linuxmusicians.com blocked mails.

Re: Email notifications
As far as I can see linuxmusicians.com does not have any of these records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). I'd start with adding a SPF record, at least, adding the correct ones for lists.linuxaudio.org recently made Google a lot happier. Yeah that's the plan, good to hear it worked well for you And maybe the re...

Email notifications
I've received a couple of (automated) reports that notifications sent from the forum to participants with a gmail address are being classified as 'possible spam' and rejected. I'll look into this later - hopefully I can improve something with DKIM/DMARC/SPF or similar to convince gmail we're not spa...

Re: to help Windows users migrating to Linux
all you need is an update from wine and things get broken. Whatever OS and software is chosen, the user must control the update urge, and define a bottom line of functionality, and must not cross that line to update anything that effects the system, be it wine, a lib, a windowmanager, an audio inte...

Re: Public Pianos
I found this fun site that helps locate public pianos that can be played by anybody: https://pianos.pub/ Pretty cool! Just added one I'm aware of. Too bad about all the ads though... I wonder if the same could be achieved with a smart OpenStreetMap query somehow somewhere? https://wiki.openstreetma...

Re: LinuxMusic.rocks
Hey, anyone here who knows how to properly index site on google or other search engines? My knowledge ends in `00s when you were only required to provide keywords and descriptions ;) and i learned that my page is indexed badly and it is not in top 10 when searching for linux vst or anything. Lookin...

Re: EU citizen's initiative for a new law on fossil fuel ads
It's always valid to think of ways and suggestions to make improvements because things are definitely not ideal now. I'm happy to see you also be able to discuss your position in a less hyperbolic style. There are too many people today who become hysterical and offended when their ideologies and cu...

Re: Reverb removal?
There are some noted on https://gist.github.com/unfa/c0fe13ae9b8a7294632ef05d8a86a299 Nice, thanks! Jotting down some notes: https://github.com/helianvine/fdndlp - python - used a bunch of CPU and memory but didn't seem to have any effect? (literally: it doesn't just sound the same but the waveform...

Reverb removal?
Like noise removal, reverb removal is of course 'impossible in theory', but there might be options in practice ;) I have a spoken voice fragment recorded in a badly reverbing room (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgGru4BpQwE). I've tried getting the reverb down with 'simple' techniques (multiband eq...

Thanks for your response. I am not going to have an argument here about the Covid-19, as it is beyond the scope of the forum. Thank you, indeed let's focus on the musicianship. I removed a couple of posts that were getting into this in a nasty way and their replies. I'm sure I'll be called a 'dicta...
