Re: Celtic percussion loops
Sorry for the delay in replying... I forgot to subscribe. (I am used to it being automatic when you create a topic...) I have some bodhran loops I recorded for a sample library. I can share some if they would be suitable? That would be great! Feel free to send me a PM if you don't want to share with...

Celtic percussion loops
I have a friend that is looking for some Celtic percussion loops. Does anyone have recommendations on where to find these, or simply good percussion loops in general?

Re: How to install low-latency kernel
First, thanks to all for the comments! I was out of town these past few days and could not test it. But, I have it all almost figured out: $ rtcqs rtcqs - version 0.5.3 Root User ========= [ OK ] Not running as root. Audio Group =========== [ OK ] User finotti is in the audio group. CPU Frequency S...

Re: US Leading Console Brand Harrison Joins Solid State Logic
It's worth pointing to this post from Paul Davis in the Ardour forum: > And to offer perspective from the purely-Ardour side: > > In the best case scenario, Audiotonix/SSL involvement with Mixbus brings more resources to software development, and both Ardour & Mixbus benefit (probably significan...

Those are nice features. Any chance that these changes will come to the Overtone DSP plugin as well?

I get:

Probably missing capabilities, either run as root or increase RLIMIT_RTPRIO limits.
Probably not a good sign...

Re: How to install low-latency kernel
It's worth trying what miuzik did : Edit /etc/default/grub : GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet threadirqs preempt=full" sudo update-grub and restart If the kernel you're using is booting with preempt=voluntary , changing the option to full should fix it. Thanks, but I already had that. I ...

Re: Neural Amp Modeler LV2 plugin
The thing about these "captures" is that they captures a single setting of the amp (or whole signal chain), whichever was set at the time of the capture. So, there is no real "gain" or EQ that would mimic the real amp. You might as well use your favorite EQ plugin after the it (o...

Re: How to install low-latency kernel
I get "Sanity Check Failed!" with the backports 6.0 kernel on Debian. Will reboot to Liquorix and check that. Back in the latest Liquorix 6.1.18-1-liquorix-amd64 now. Sanity check passes "Sanity Check OK!" when using performance governor, but fails with ondemand governor. CPU go...

Re: Neural Amp Modeler LV2 plugin
Yes - it really does work very well. I'm pretty convinced that this kind of approach is going to be the path forward. Right now, the main downside is that it is significantly more expensive than other approaches to amplifier simulation. I'm hoping, though, that as the model architecture gets tweake...

Re: How to install low-latency kernel
In my recent update to Ardour 7.3, I noticed that my most recent kernel ( 6.2.0-5.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 ) failed Ardour's test: System failed the quick sanity check... Looking for the cause System does not allow realtime for the current user... Looking for a solution !!! WARNING !!! - The current user...
