Re: Behringer fca202 works with snd-dice
Thank you very much for your response. I did choose alsa and the fca202 which showed up in cadence. Unfortunately jack would not start with cadence. This morning I installed qjackctl and configured with alsa and my fca202. To my surprise I have audacious and clementine working with it. I have not tr...

Behringer fca202 works with snd-dice
Dear All, This is a continuation of my loss of firewire saga from this post https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16919#p79966. I tried everything I could to get ffado working again with my fca202. I tried earlier kernels, later ones, tried linuxmint 17.1 on my other harddrive and nothi...

fca202
Dear All, Hello All, I have not had enough time to test thoroughly my fca202 with firewire since my recent post: https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16919#p79966 . Plan to test again soon. Does anyone on this forum still use the fca202? If you are using a more recent flavor of ubuntu ...

Re: After updates no sound at all with firewire (ffado)
=== REPORT === FireWire kernel drivers: FireWire kernel stack not present. Please compile the kernel with FireWire support. This seems like a serious issue... Try booting a previous/older kernel. Thank you very much falkTX. Appreciate your answer. I will try a new kernel, however, I was using this ...

(SOLVED)After updates no sound at all with firewire (ffado)
Hello Everyone, Before updating my Linuxmint 17.3 yesterday morning my longtime firewire sound system using Kxstudio repositories and cadence worked beautifully. Now I have no sound at all. For 5 years have been using the behringer x1622 usb mixer and hooked into my fca202 which connected to my comp...

Re: Hey, Nevada Checking in..
Welcome. Great forum here. There is a lot of nice software for audio. I enjoy lmms, zynaddsubfx, amsynth, qtractor, muse, audacity, and many others. My yamaha YPG-235 keyboard works well with all of those I mentioned.
Wonderful talent and ideas on this forum.

Re: turkish/arabic synth sounds
Forgot to mention that I use a sf2 called ArabTurk in lmms with my keyboard once in awhile. Has some good sounds as far as I can tell. Do not remember how I found it but it is free.

Re: Setting Up Audio Devices in KXStudio - what am I doing wrong?
I have been using the fca202 for years. My setup is linuxmint 18 cinnamon with kxstudio repos. I use cadence to set everything up. Have you run ffado-diag or ffado-test? I ran ffado-diag. May have had to run ffado-dbus-server, and or ffado-mixer, it has been awhile. After that I chose firewire under...
