Re: Making it mainstream.
Louigi, amazing post, and I agree 100%. I realized you weren't bashing on linux because you are a very active member of the community, but it's good to be critic towards what you want to improve. Your site is really cool too and the articles are great. I noticed that under the "browser" ca...

Re: Is anyone making any money as a musician? (mp3 sales)
I was just asking out of curiosity, of course I'm not playing music to make money, that's absurd for so many reasons. My main goal right now is to be productive and get to play gigs within next year. Set up a website and just put the soundcloud files for people to listen. Take advantage of social ne...

Is anyone making any money as a musician? (mp3 sales)
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone was using any of the methods to sell your mp3's online. Or other methods like Magnatune or Jamendo. It's obvious that making money out of music is not my main goal but it would be awesome if eventually I could.
Thanks

I don't have a refined taste, but I like Johnny Walker red label, haven't tried many more (of that range of prices).

Re: a little moaning
What's the point on the spammer this time? Because he didn't posted a link there, is it just trying people to click on the link on his profile? A bit tricky I would say. no, it's all about the google-bot.....the more pages it founds with the link the higher his sellingpage is listet in google-searc...

Re: Qtractor strange behaviour whil recording midi [solved]
Than I found a bug i guess, because no matter if i choose "autobackward" or not, the red line always goes back (yes i press play-button) Man, that's weird. It haven't happened to me ever. All I can suggest is that you try the latest svn trunk... http://qtractor.sourceforge.net/qtractor-do...

why is there no pause-button? I understand it is nice the playback go back to the red line while recording but for editing its a pain in the a... The pause button is the same as the play button. Under the menu Transport you can choose if you want the playhead to "autobackward" or not. Als...

Re: USB Keyboard + Audio Interface
I can only recommend what I've used and it's not really much. I can tell you that the M-Audio Oxygen 61 works perfect in linux (Ubuntu), it has a fine quality and you could use it on stage; the Axiom is sturdier though. But it's only a USB midi controller, it doesn't have midi ports nor audio interf...

Re: USB Mixer / JACK multiple audio devices question
I'm not sure I understand what you need, but wouldn't the korg nanopad solve that? You get 12 pads that you can unse for triggering and an xy pad for effects i.e. It works on linux. Thanks for the advice about the alesis mixer. I think I'll stay away from that one. As far as the nanopad, that's not...

Re: USB Mixer / JACK multiple audio devices question
Hi. I currently have an m-audio Delta 44 card running in Ubuntu Studio 9.10 with JACK 2. It works really well... However, I am wanting to add an additional audio interface to the PC, while still keeping the Delta. I need something with an XLR input, and any other inputs would also be a bonus. I was...

¡Uruguay que no ni no! Thanks, mate. I'll check it up. Qué grande! ;) Check this out ( http://forums.m-audio.com/archive/index.php/t-714.html ) I've read mixed opinions, the best thing would be to check it for yourself, but that's hard to do unless you know someone who owns one. What I did when loo...

Re: Greetings from Argentina!
I think I've read that the best supported M-Audio interface is the Fast track (not the PRO), the new one.
