I was wondering if anyone was using any of the methods to sell your mp3's online. Or other methods like Magnatune or Jamendo. It's obvious that making money out of music is not my main goal but it would be awesome if eventually I could.

I can only recommend what I've used and it's not really much. I can tell you that the M-Audio Oxygen 61 works perfect in linux (Ubuntu), it has a fine quality and you could use it on stage; the Axiom is sturdier though. But it's only a USB midi controller, it doesn't have midi ports nor audio interf...

I'm not sure I understand what you need, but wouldn't the korg nanopad solve that? You get 12 pads that you can unse for triggering and an xy pad for effects i.e. It works on linux.
