Re: 'Migrating' Yabridge plugs

The wine registry files often contain perhaps most/all of the authorizatios data (I'm no expert about that) but with a new install of wine, I back-up the default files to a nearby folder, as seen in the pic, wine-registry files.jpg and re-use those with the successful tedious authorizations. Some de...

Re: Zebralette 3

The gui in the linux version has a smaller font in the preset browser, and a few other spots, and with a color with low contrast, reducing readabilty, compared to the windows version. I mentioned this in their forum, as they are desirous of bug reports and suggestions, and warn to use a limiter at a...

Thanks for the feedback, and it makes sense. 8) And Scratchpad makes it easy for launching one's personal preferences.

Re: Zebralette 3

Never installed a U-he product? Typical terminal output below, Installations are simple, extract the archive, cd to it's folder: for example, /home/you/.u-he/Zebralette3-15573 $ bash /home/you/.u-he/Zebralette3-15573/install.sh (snipped lots of legal mumboJumbo, licensing text etc) -----------------...

Re: Zebralette 3

Linux will soon have Zebra 3, arguably the greatest next-gen software synthesizer, as a native plugin, with the free Zebralette 3 for those lacking the budget, but having the time, desire, and skill, to create great music. With Yoshimi, Surge XT, Vital, and DecentSampler, a great and varied collecti...

Re: Guitarix.vst v0.1 released

To get the Amp menu, I have to open a new panel, open it's menu, scroll down to the Reverb area, select the Convolver, and open the menu in the middle of the Convolver panel. The Ampstack only has a menu for choosing tubes. Maybe the Convolver panel could be open by default when Guitarix is started?...

Re: Reaper and top Linux samplers as plugins: how to even set up?

If even a commercial enterprise like Reaper... I suspect Justin's enterprise isn't planning to join the Fortune 500 in 2024. His enterprise is hard work, listening to and responding to users, and being in the right place at the right time with some regularity. Cheers Reaper's a one-man show ...

You might also consider hunting a bargain for a digital recorder with a mixer. Re: I need help! What is the most perfectly functioning audio/midi Interface for Linux?

mAudio pci soundcards, placed in the best older motherboard you can find, having a real pci slot, may have the best 'trouble-to-performance' ratio. I have used one in an intel-i7 motherboard, using the snd_ice1712 kernel module, in a dozen different distros. envy24control or mudita24 are excellent m...

Re: Guitarix.vst v0.1 released

I think the control for moving the dials is the best I've experienced on any plugin gui ever. There are many fiddly bits tolerated in commercial tools that are too fussy. I also like the colored panels with easily readable text. There is only one combo I've found that has text that lacks contrast, ...

'Gamelan Dream' dreampt up with Yoshimi and Hydrogen

While refreshing memories, I found this, made with Hydrogen, Yoshimi, and maybe some Rakarrack :? I'll put in my next BandCamp album, hopefully within a few weeks. But nobody promised me another Tuesday  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGTqmTJVDnU&pp=ygUPImdhbWVsYW4gZHJlYW0i https://open.s...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now?

I keep seeing the name 'John Dowlands' in music forums, so had to investigate. Here is a master Lute musician playing a collection of Downland's songs, the music starts at 13:35 after an informative intro. Around 55 minutes of music from ages past. looks like it was played in one session. 8) https:/...
