Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
I give up. I have the impression that the card is faulty. Don't have a windows system on hand at this moment to check it, but tried two different computers and a bunch of different Linux distros and the same problem happens every time. IEC958 sample rate: undetermined I never seen anyone else having...

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
Really? For the Digi96? I always read the Digis should be used with the rmedigicontrol instead. AFAIK, the HDSPconf is intended for the later hdsp cards...
I'll try anyway.

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
I run
and the dbx Quantum gets effectively synched via S/PDIF @ 44.1 KHz. Isn't it weird?
Of course, no sound at all.
Code: Select all
amixer sset 'Sync Mode' Master
Of course, no sound at all.

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
Found how to blacklist a sound card and now the Intel card is out of the way, but the Digi96 still not working. rmedigicontrol still not founding the card. I've got these outputs: aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: R15 [RME Digi9652 (Rev 1.5)], device 0: RME Digi9652 (Rev 1...

Thanks so much for your replies. I'm on my main desktop right now (Crunchbang too), but will try your suggestions this afternoon on the freshly installed multimedia partition.

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
Maybe you can deal with the internal audio. Your card *should* work. What issues do you have ? Issues? Well, the internal Realtek card just works. But I want to use the RME card instead feeding my dbx Quantum as a DA converter. Essentially way better quality altogether. The rmedigicontrol reports &...

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
Given your log, your RME is not recognized. The cards that appear seem to be : 1 the internal audio chip from the motherboard : you have to disable it in the bios 2 the HDMI part of your NVIDIA graphic card, it overrides your RME : you can't easily deactivate it, because it's a part of the nvidia d...

Questions about installing KXS on Debian
I installed KXS on a fresh Crunchbang install yesterday, but wasn't very sucessful. Just reinstalled Crunchbang again and I'm about installing KXS again. This time I've removed pulseaudio first. Questions: I noticed KXS didn't pulled any new kernel. I just have the 3.2 Wheezy default. What RT or Low...

Re: AV Linux 6.0.2 Released!
Thanks so much, Glen. This is great news!!! Eager to try AVL602 (downloading now) and check those soundfonts. I guess I've already got most, but nice to check for something I'm missing. I wish I could support you more. Maybe when you get over to debian 7 or 8, no rush. No rush, but don't f...
