I can look into it. My #1 priority right now is checking out some better spam prevention tools, but I will definitely check into chat options as well. Sounds like tons of fun!

Options are being looked into right now to crack down on the spam issues for the board. I think we just need to block the entire city of Moscow myself since that is where the majority of the IPs are for the spam that we have been getting on the board lately. ...

Anything that works. I usually just check the feed if there are new posts, and the spam messes that up.

I just had a similar (the same?) spambot on my wife's homepage, got it killed by adding a captcha function to the comment box.
Perhaps we need a captcha on the board too? I know it's annoying, but better than being spammed to death.

I think if we see an increase in spam that this may be something to consider. But right now the amount of spam is actually pretty low.
