Re: KXStudio recent updates - any problems?
Ive just put in a fresh install of kx studio and ran all updates. so far everything is working fine, except.... after the upgrade from a fresh install my 2nd hard drive now requires root password to mount, and if i try and CD to any directory on that drive i get permission denied. I can browse it af...

Re: Help: Setting up KXStudio on Mint Linux 15
All the non-12.04 versions are currently being moved to the new Debian repos. 12.04 still keeps the old ones, but not any other version. This means that, in the mean time, there are packages missing that are not yet packaged in the new repos. If you already have a good working system, just be a lit...

Re: The state of midi in Ardour3
I got my head round midi in ardour and finally got used to it, got quite good at manually putting notes in and had half a song. But came up against quirks and bugs and crashes that i had to move to ardour 3.0 but then i found more bugs and cant finish the song i was working. I get notes at the begin...

Re: USB-Audio regressions on 3.8 kernel - fixed?
By any chance would this possibly fix my issues with the mbox1, I contacted the developer that wrote the patch to get the mbox2 and he told me in recent kernels mbox1 support got broken. I run av-linux so im unsure how i would try this kernel, as they use there own kernels and are much older. 3.5 i ...

Re: The state of midi in Ardour3
I recently tried to use Midi in ardour and found it horrible. Not crashes or anything, as it doesnt crash but im using 3.3 which i have paid a donation for (binary from ardours site). What i find horrible is that you are drawing notes directly onto the track view, not like any other midi pragram whe...

Re: zynaddsubfx - MuSe - Delay on every patch!!
:/ it doesnt appear in ardour 3 anyway i tried to do midi work in ardour and find out so difficult i gave up without even having a simple 1 bar part due to how you pencil things in, i guess unless you have a midi keyboard your stuck. muse and rosegarden though is very easy to work the old way of man...

zynaddsubfx - MuSe - Delay on every patch!!
so ive just gotten into using muse and im finding it very very good except. That no matter what instrument i select when using zynaddsubfx theres a massive amount of delay effect applied to the instrument, I cant find any parameter that sets relates to delay within muse, and the native gui option is...

Re: Mbox1 no capture ports
Ok just a quick update, it seems that mbox 1 support has been broken for the moment. The developer that made the patch for usb-snd got back to me and will try and look at it when he has time so there may or may not be a fix.

Re: Mbox1 no capture ports
Yeah i've seen those 2 pages already and wernt much help. I already have the driver from that page, as it is now included in alsa in recent kernels, but i did try to install that driver aswell, which throws up errors unless you change one of the c files with one from somewhere else on the net but go...

Re: Mbox1 no capture ports
Tried xubuntu 13.04 pulse audio sees the mbox and it appears that it sees input. However playback still has the issue of static/white noise every so often. Back to kx studio i try kernel 3.10 which has a patch to resolve usb issues that caused people with problems using various usb DAC still same pr...

Ive went back to 3.2 kernel as i know that there have been USB related problems with kernels from 3.5 and up, still same problems. also i have the dreaded bursts of static that alot of people have been experience, and iv...
