Like that Swedish guy posted at the end - we're talking about the PCIe version of this card, which won't work..

....what?!? Nobody here owns an Emu 1212M PCIe card?!?

Admittedly, I never touched one. And yes, I am a pianist, and keyboards that don't look like a piano (or synth or organ) feel very awkward to me. To be honest, I even hated the feel of a Rhodes MKII73, which I played many years... To me, it looks more like a fun gadget than a serious musical instrum...

By the look of it, I don't believe that it will offer any agreeable playing to musicians....
In other words, it plays like crap...

I do a lot of recording with Cubase, but I sure would like to give Ardour and Rosegarden a swing.. Unfortunately, I won't get my E-mu 1212M PCIe card to work with Kubuntu...

A few years ago I bought the Emu 1212M PCIe. I still am very happy with this card as it works flawlessly under Win/Cubase.
