Re: Raspberry Pi - Current Status?

Interesting thread and welcome to the forum Chris. From what I know you'll need some kind usb soundcard to convert your signal, then you have to get your device running with some kind of os, Debian is commonly used. You've probably already checked this article. Have you considered / checked Guitarix...

Re: Ubuntu and no sound in headphones

I can't offer any help, but I have similar problems. Sometimes everything is fine, I can plug my headphone in and out without any troubles and sometimes it just won't switch to headphones.

Re: [ANN] Musical Artifacts - find presets, configs, sounds

I'm planning to make some tutorials about playing a Quintar (fretless instrument tuned in fifths).
Can I use your website to post chord schemes, scales etc, made in Lilypond?

Re: Electro Harmonix B9 modeling

All right guys, some of the heavyweights stepped into the ring: Enough food for thought! Still most professors are more looking that you are approaching it scientifically and demonstrating good engineering, regardless of the state of the product at finals. True. Keep on posting the steps you make, s...

Re: Electro Harmonix B9 modeling

Good that you guys started and welcome at LM! Couple of thoughts: - You can check out why a guitar sounds like a guitar and a Hammond B3 like a... well you know. Think in terms of attack, sustain, overtones. - You can try to search for someone who made a effect chain with common effects to emulate a...

Laptop occasionally doesn't switch from speakers to headph.

As stated in the title. I have this problem every now and then when using my onboard soundcard, but I can't lay my finger on it. Sometimes I can switch to my headphones several times without any problem (by plugging them in) and sometimes the laptop keeps on playing audio through the build in speake...

USB2 Hardware on newer computers

I didn't know where to put this thread, but with using KXStudio as my (beloved) distribution I thought this would be an appropriate place. At the moment I'm using an usb2 soundcard (Presonus 1818VSL) along with a HP laptop. The laptop has several usb3 inputs and 1 usb2 input. When using the usb2 inp...

Re: can not log into my session graphically

Alas! I had the same trouble last night, just before a gig. Had to fall back on my backup setup.
But on the other hand: Now I noticed, how many times my laptop did work (+100 gigs / rehearsals)! :-)
So many thanks to everybody how contributes to Linux audio software!
