Re: problems with 1818vsl
I think ffisher is right, my 1818vsl was also giving a lot of xruns when attached to my usb 3 input of my laptop. When I insert it in my usb 2 input everything is fine.
I'm using also using kxstudio.

How can I back up my presets in Guitarix?
I don't know where I can find the presets made in Guitarix. As stated in the subject, I want to make a backup of them.

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
I've got everything tested and running: I've used my setup on several gigs and it works like a charm. Therefore I want to give a short overview of what I have so far. Hardware: HP laptop with Intel I5 core Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL usb soundcard Boss gt-6 (I'm using this as a midi foot controller, a...

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
Thanks tramp for the link, I've checked it briefly and it sound promising. More to come! If muting in Guitarix isn't possible, then I can use non-mixer and lead all 7 signals through the mixer and make a midi-connection with the mute button of the master-strip. I have to figure out how I have to do ...

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
I've got everything working!!! I've got the good of both worlds: Using the Non-session-manager to open up the several instances of guitarix, together with Catia to view and alter the connections and Jackpatch to save all the connections. Guitarix is doing a great job. I was a bit afraid that opening...

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
Thanks Tramp for your good advice, I'm now using two instances of guitarix within NSM using NSM proxy. I've managed to create two sets of presets, and each instance opens the right one when starting up. Now I want to change all the presets at once with my numeral keyboard. Is this possible? P.a. pre...

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
I've updated my soundcard to a Presonus 1818 vls. I'm still using NSM and non-mixer to create presets. I've made a test preset with 7 channels, each with their own effects (reverb, chorus), this worked fine. I want to figure out a way to change presets fast. Now I have several sessions made in nsm, ...

Re: Howto set up Presonus Audiobox 1818vsl?
I've got my card working (96k, 256, 3). I'm using a different usb socket, turned my powermanagement off and set my cpu power policy on performance. This did the trick. I only get some Xruns when I change sessions in non session manager. I've did some quick recordings using Ardour and nsm, non-mixer ...

Re: Howto set up Presonus Audiobox 1818vsl?
I recently bought a 1818vsl, but I'm getting Xruns with several different settings (512/ 96000 / 3 seems now the "best" option with only a xrun every 20 sec). I've kxstudio installed on my laptop and have switched off networking, using it standalone. When swapping back to my Alesis IO4 I c...

Re: Experiment: Makin a low-budget Polyphonic (midi)guitar s
It's been a while, but I've picked up this experiment again.
I've switched to kxstudio, and I'm finally getting a low latency and no xruns (1.5ms).
Next up is to loose some noise generated by my laptop.
