Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.3.2

OK, more updates! It turned out that the bug in librubberband was only an issue due to a more serious bug in Shuriken. The bug in Shuriken is now fixed so you can safely use it in real-time mode with any version of rubberband. Also, I've added the ability to control the zoom with the mouse wheel. I'...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.3.2

Hi everyone! Pushed some new stuff to the git repo. The main new feature is selective time stretching. You need to switch to real-time mode (in the options menu) in order to use this. Also new is the "Snap" combo box in the bottom left corner, which allows you to snap slice points to beats or divisi...

Thanks for the quick reply! It doesn't sound too different from Ubuntu Launchpad. I'll make sure to check out the docs :)

you can try my opensuse build service repositories including debian, ubuntu and fedora targets Hi rncbc, a while back I was thinking of using OBS for packaging Shuriken but didn't know much about it. I'd really appreciate it if you could share any tips, pitfalls to watch out for, etc. http://linuxm...

Re: ALSA updates

That's good news! I was thinking of buying a Scarlett 6i6 and stumbled upon this thread earlier today: https://focusritedevelopmentteam.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/linux-and-focusrite-novation-products/ The comments section is pretty long but the jist is that a couple of people had been working indepen...

Re: MAudio 2496 + Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

Hi GMaq :) You're right, the 2i2 and 2i4 models don't have SPDIF. The 6i6 has everything I'm looking for but the software to control its internal routing is windows/mac only. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice to do everything from Linux. Maybe a 1010LT would do the trick.. How do you control the...

MAudio 2496 + Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

At the moment I have an MAudio 2496 and am thinking about buying a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Would it be possible to use both at the same time? I need MIDI in/out and ideally 4 inputs though 2 would do at a push.

Do you know which version of Shuriken you were using when you originally saved those projects? What went wrong when you tried to open them?

Hi motosega, thanks for testing! That bug should be fixed now as well as another bug where the slice button was still enabled after deleting all but one slice.

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.3.2

Hi motosega, I'm working on it! headwar and others have highlighted the same issue and made some great suggestions regarding the GUI. I've been busy helping out with the new AVLinux release, so now it's out I can turn my attention back to Shuriken. Nice old-school setup there btw! I had an Akai S200...
