Re: [LAA] JACK 0.124.0 released
Does this mean that cadence will function with jack1?. I much prefer cadence to qjackqtl.

Re: Kicks and snares
So I just downloaded the snares again, and I'm baffled. The first time I downloaded them there were only 4 and the sfz files did not match up with the included samples. Just redownloaded them and there are 11 with sfzs that look perfect! Wierd. I'll take this brief opportunity to share with anyone i...

Re: Kicks and snares
Hey jeff... I still get err3 when trying to load the snares. It appears that in almost all the folders (1, 2, 3, and 4) the respective .sfz file makes references to samples that are not within that folder. Now I'm wondering...is it the .sfz that is messed up(which I doubt because your sfzs are almos...

Re: Kicks and snares
I get the same problem.
It seems like there are samples missing?

Re: It's coming...
I don't know if it is Linuxsampler that causes my instability. I get lots of silent crashes it seems when doing anything midi related in Ardour 3.

Re: It's coming...
Will this also introduce a decreased risk of a host crash using plugins? I frequently crash out of Ardour 3 when using LinuxSampler. If I can host my instruments in a carla rack, will this mean that if the instruments crash, it won't crash my host?

Re: It's coming...
Fantastic.
So then all of Carla's currenct functionality (except for being limited to rack mode) will be accessible?
I.E. the few Windows VSTs I use in Carla can be directly hosted within Mixbus (Ardour) through a simple Carla rack?

Re: Anyone feel like hacking a SFZ?
Oh I definately agree that they are a bit ringy. But I like the tone of the drums themselves. I'm a drummer and am very particular about my samples. These ones were done nicely and while I don't care for the long ringgggggg on the toms, I do like the natural sound. I've also mixed and produced for o...

Re: Anyone feel like hacking a SFZ?
I actually rather like the toms. Is there an easy copy-and-paste way to make an sfz for them?

Re: Anyone feel like hacking a SFZ?
Thanks jeffg. I had a feeling you might have a go at them. I never actually gave them a listen before posting the link. (It was still downloading) However I will say that I like raw sounds (provided they are sampled properly) Once I get my snare drum back from up north I plan on sampling it and post...

Anyone feel like hacking a SFZ?
http://smithultd.com/drum-pack-volume-1
Contains a free drumset with a massive amount of samples.
Plenty of velocity layers and lots of care taken to record every aspect of each instrument.
Desperately needs a good SFZ file.
I've hacked SFZ before but I don't have time to take that on.
Anyone?

Re: No SFZ Sampler with Aftertouch Support?
This has all been compelling to read. It makes me beg the question: is there anyone out there picking up where Linuxsampler left off and trying to continue development? Surely it's a great starting point to start implementing the SFZ2.0 standard? I would try calfbox, but I don't use the non stuff. I...

Re: 64bit dssi-vst
Hey falktx, what packages does Carla rely on in order to build dssi-vst plugins? I need to make sure I have everything she needs.

Re: Load kits: DrMr Carla
Hey guys. Thought I would chime in with a bug I've had with DrMr since I ever started using it.
In Ardour 3, when using DrMr as a plugin, I can open it once without a hitch. But when I try to open it again, Ardour just crashes instantly. Anyone else?

Re: 64bit dssi-vst
Still no dice. I purged wine, carla, all of it. Reinstalled with Wine 1.7 RT, installed dssi-bridgei386, then dssi-vst, then festige. Same error. I moved all plugins to .vst. Interestingly enough festige won't load any plugins via fst, and crashes when I select dssi-vst. Doesn't help that I've had t...
