Re: The Hut of Baba Yaga

I didn't record anything. It was all either synthesized (in the case of everything) or pulled from Freesound (in the case of the clock chain and chimes).

And wait...THE Kieth Emmerson? That's cool.

The Hut of Baba Yaga

You can now buy my electronic rendition of "The Hut of Baba Yaga" from Bandcamp now at retrobanana.bandcamp.com for a minimum of $1. This song is a cover of a song of the same name from Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition suite, and inspired by another song of the same name by ELP. If you ...

It's not just Android. It's also Ubuntu. But yes, Caustic 2 is very advanced.

Export as one MIDI file in Qtractor?

Is is possible to save one MIDI file for all tracks instead of several MIDI files, one for each track? I want to sequence MIDI in Qtractor and play it on our Yamaha Clavinova (it's XG).

Re: Retro Banana presents >Pixels at an Exhibition<

I was heavily inspired by ELP. That's highest praise to be thought of as sounding like that.

Hello from Colorado!

Hello, my (stage) name is Retro Banana, as I prefer not to use my real name while a musician, and you may call me Banana. Or Retro. Or Ret. Whatever. :D Anyway, I am a 14-year old computer musician who uses an Acer Aspire 5735 with a 64GB SSD (it boots up in 5 seconds!!!) and a Google Nexus 7 (32GB)...

Retro Banana presents >Pixels at an Exhibition<

A WIP album based on Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition suite. This album is to be made entirely with my two favorite applications: Qtractor (on my Acer Apire 5735 w/Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit) and Caustic 2 (on my 32GB Nexus 7 w/Android Jellybean). Until I complete the entire album, though, I will rel...
