Re: Qtractor and modwheel
Thanks for trying to help. :) This is no big issue for me. It's the same with all the knobs on the Little Phatty: I can assign midi stuff to them, but they only go like crazy between 3-4 values. So I was just surprised that Ardour understood my modwheel so well. The other knobs were useless there al...

Re: Qtractor and modwheel
monitor midi input from the synth with eg. aseqdump and check what MIDI events are being through when you turn that mod-wheel. Ah. Thanks! One single roll from minimum to maximum on the modwheel gives this output: Source Event Ch Data 0:1 Port subscribed 129:0 -> 132:0 129:0 Control change 0, contr...

Re: [ANN] TxModular 087
Wow, this opens a new world of possibilities in Supercollider! (at least for people like me, who has a hard time remembering commands and understanding coding) But could anyone explain exactly how you installed it? I tried copying the "TX Mod Extensions" folder to Supercollider's Extension...

Qtractor and modwheel
I have a lovely Moog Little Phatty Stage II synth, which I also use for midi input. In Qtractor the pitchwheel works great, while the modwheel is rather unusable. The physical modwheel changes the virtual one on screen, but it actually just changes between maybe 3 different stages and is quite unpre...

Harrison also has some excellent plugins in addition to Mixbus.
Pianoteq is a very good tip.
The next time I need good piano sound, I will definitely consider it.
Which of the Harrison plugins do you use, and what makes them better than the FLOSS ones?

Re: List of commcercial software ported to Linux
Great! (a bit embarrased that I forgot Renoise and Reaper) Is this http://linux-sound.org/linux-vst-plugins.html actually the list that I'm searching for - is everything there commercial Linux software? I see it's purely VSTs, but I guess apart from Bitwig, Renoise, Reaper, Tracktion and Mixbus that...

List of commcercial software ported to Linux
Even though there's always good FLOSS audio software getting too little praise, I'd find it useful to have of list of commercial audio software that's actually ported to Linux. Maybe such a list exists, I just don't know of it. So please help me, as I can only think of these few ones: - The u-he ( h...

Wow, thanks for posting that last picture!
This is really neat.
And yes, I didn't notice it in the change log.
Great work as always!

Thank you so much, Dave!
libgtk2.0-dev did its job perfectly, and now it builds and runs and I am truly grateful.

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular
Were you using falkTX's binary ? If so, I think that's for 0.3.2. Alas, I don't use the binaries, I'm not sure I can help anyone with them. Well, by "binary" I didn't really mean binary at all. I'm sorry, I was a bit too quick there. What I tried was the 0.4.0 zip-file you can download at...

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular
I can't manage to install VCVRack on my system running Debian stable + KX studio repos. When downloading the binary, trying to run "Rack", I get this message: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.2.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory When trying to buil...

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular
I only did a testing package just to see how it works in packaged form. Also finding out stuff in general regarding dependencies (for which I did already, a few libs will need to be shipped together with the binary) Just to avoid any doubt: I had no intention of blaming you in any way. Your effort ...

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular
I didn't realize anyone was using the kxstudio package, I am not or able to install it. Same for me. When trying to install, I get the message that it needs "libglew1.10 (>=1.10.0) but it is not installable", that "libglfw3" will not be installed, and finally that it also needs ...
