Re: 2 audio interfaces as input

Is this what you Frank were suggesting for? isn't quite tricky at all if it works, because unfortunally the URs can't be synced with the clock and spdif ports. thanks guys i really appreciate that. Yes. Same suggestion let's check if i understood the concept for the records, because i can't do test...

Re: 2 audio interfaces as input

yeah thank you i'm really inspired. I think that use the 2 soundcards with two different PCs is the easiest way, especially for a script kiddie like me. Even better if Jack can handle a network , to start the recordings at the same time. I don't care so much if the wave files are in different compu...

Re: 2 audio interfaces as input

On my main DAW I use the exact script shown above, as I have two M-Audio cards. But this scipt is specific to cards using ICE1712, and for your cards it will probably look somewhat different. But I think there may be another workable solution. I use a remote PC as a headless NetJack slave to my main...

Re: ZynAddSubFX on a Raspberry Pi 3

You might have a look at the Guitarix on the RPi threads too. Maybe some of the means to get lower latency reported in those threads may also be applied here.

Re: Mic characteristics plugins?

If you use a Mic with a relative flat response curve, like audiodef pointed out, this effect will be minimal. Yes, but most modern quality microphones claim to have a flat response, which of course they don't in reality. Otherwise, you could as well do a de-convolution with the response of the used...

Re: Mic characteristics plugins?

The characteristics of a microphone means the way it captures - and not captures - sound. With an bidirectional shape you capture sound behind the microphone as well. With a cardioid and supercardioid shape you capture mainly sound in front of the microphone. WIth an omnidirectional mic you capture ...

Re: Only one synth...

I would suggest ObXd. It has a classic analog synth layout, it has polyphony from one to plenty oscillators. It has portamento, it has 12 and 24db/oct filters. And it sounds great for all classic types of synth sound.

Re: new (LV2) Analogue Bass Pre Amp Simulation

Hi I uploaded a preset bank called "VoxBeatleMysteryPreset" for the GxVmk2 + GxSuppaTonebender to musical-artifacts.com. It is a take on classic fab four guitar tone from the 1966-68 era, when they played through amps with a solid state preamp. This preamp has been modelled by Tramp in the GxVmk2 pl...

Re: Guitarix on a Raspberry Pi 2

Yes, I uninstalled, rebuilt and reinstalled on my main PC before testing it out. The RPi version works perfectly. I recompiled once more on the PC and retested again just now, and the problem persists. ON means OFF and the other way around. I also compare the settings to the settings of patch to the...

Re: Guitarix on a Raspberry Pi 2

HI again Tramp I may have found another bug. As I ported my presets from the RPi to my main computer, I noticed that all the on/off switches of the newly recompiled GxVmk2 has inverted their meaning on my AMD64 recompile. Meaning, on is off and vice versa. I noticed this because it sounded all wrong...

Re: Guitarix on a Raspberry Pi 2

Hi Tramp Going back to the recompile issue of the GxVmk2 plugin. I still have issues with the plugin. When I have started Guitarix on the RPi with the Vmk2 plugin, then at the moment I select a GxVmk2 setting it crashes Guitarix, which disappears silenty without a trace. After a couple of reboots, r...

Re: M-Audio 1010LT S/pdif input?

Yes. (I didn't have time for a more elaborate reply when I wrote that) What I was trying to say was, that with two cards linked, you use one card to provide clock to the other through the S/PDIF connection. And this works, as the second card plays happily with the external clock it is given from the...

Re: M-Audio 1010LT S/pdif input?

When you have two of them, and you want to link them together, you usually connect one cards output to another cards input. In that case it works.
