Re: Here's soMe music I made
Hmmm. My setup at that time was linux mint maya 13 with KXstudio. I think the LADSPA plugs were placed in USR/LIB/LADSPA as usual. I'm now running Solydx(debian testing based) with the LADSPA plugs in the same location and Tracktion found them when I did the search in the settings menu. There are so...

Re: Drumkv1
Did you load any samples into it? I don't think drumkv1 comes with any pre-loaded samples. You have to double click the blank box corrosponding to which key is selected, then load a sample in, then press that key to get that sound.

Re: fix broken firewire, or use Express-Card-fw?
Looks like the one you have uses the Rioch chipset for firewire. I don't know from experience but when I was researching my own setup, i found many things that said the Rioch firewire chipset will not reliably work for an audio interface (regardless of OS). It might work for a hard drive or a camera...

Re: ubuntu 14.04 not so good
I just switched to Debian and have found it to be more stable as well. I was running Mint 13 LTS based on ubuntu 12.04 before. It worked well enough but there would be occasional freezes or little bugs with things like the file manager not working properly. I have no such events so far with My Debia...

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived
I still get no options for input and output. I have jack2 1.9.9.5 I wonder what could be the problem. Maybe I'm missing some libraries. Do I need libio2jack0 or something like that?

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived
Finally installed it. Looks cool but sadly has the same problems for me as T4. JACK is there as an audio device but doesn't seem to work (the input or output option is none). maybe there is a configuration issue i'm missing. Also my LinuxDSP BlackEQ VST loads but then the UI is just frozen i.e I can...

Re: Midi keyboard works in LMMS but Muse can not see it
Not sure but LMMS might be running with ALSA and so naturally sees the keyboard. Muse might be using JACK. To fix this you might need to enable an AlSA JACK MIDI bridge. There might be a button somewhere as there is for KXstudio. In any case just typing a2jmidid -e in the terminal always works for me.

Re: Help Getting Started?
Welcome I would start here: http://wiki.linuxaudio.org/wiki/start What you want to do is very possible with linux audio. You'll plug your Midi keyboard ito a USB port on your computer for the best results probably. Before you do this I would also suggest Going to the KXstudio website or the Ubuntu S...
