Re: [ANN] Carla Plugin Host 1.0.0 released!

Well I hope the community keeps growing no matter what country it's in. Still never met anyone in person that uses it. Guess that's why I'm on the forums. I could kind of say that about a few other forums I'm on though too. I just kind of think it's cool That I'll be on a forum and discussing things...

Re: [ANN] Carla Plugin Host 1.0.0 released!

I've had to use other platforms to record. Falktx stuff is top shelf as well as other linux audio programs. I got a quick question for some of you guys off topic but Seeing the euros sign. A lot of you guys are european and I have heard some people talk about people they know that use linux. Is linu...

Re: [ANN] Carla Plugin Host 1.0.0 released!

Believe it or not I could afford what GMaq donated. Which was about 20.00 dollars american money. I donated about 10.00 dollars american. Which isn't enough but what I can afford and not run out of smokes (sorry your not getting my ciggerette money). I'll donate again more when I can afford it. Supp...

Re: auto-routing

I really don't like the standalone daw setup. Windows and mac are good if you want the computer to make music for you. I just don't think those inviorments are very good for inspireing creativity. If you want to auto-tune and rythym correct your way to stardom they might be good OSes for you. I like...

Re: Should KXStudio repos move to Debian?

Re: Should KXStudio repos move to Debian?

I voted no just because it would be harder to attract musicians and studios to use a debian base distro. I also like ubuntu better than debian because of ease of use and it's easier and has a nicer installer. I disagree here. Ubuntu is focusing more and more on consumer-oriented (not producer/dev o...

Re: Newbie Looking For Software

I would install kxstudio. Thats always my recomendation. That being said I'm pretty sure ardour installs jack2 automatically. They don't make this very clear in their documentation and that tends to be confusing. You need to install a gui for jack I believe and that should be it. I'm not sure whats ...
