[ANN] JDXi Manager - a Roland JD-Xi Editor

IF you are using a Roland JD-Xi synthesizer (IMHO probably the best budget synth currently available to buy) here is the editor for Linux for it: Main page: http://jdxi-manager.linuxtech.net/ Linux specific page: http://jdxi-manager.linuxtech.net/linux.html It's not FOSS licensed but free as in beer...

I use Perl for MIDI related programs (MIDI editors for hardware synths) and for that purpose it works really well, but I wouldn't use it for audio related programs due to timing as explained by sadko4u.

Re: Zoom MIDI implementation questions

Why don't you ask Zoom customer support? If anyone knows, they should be the ones. I doubt that anyone here would know the answers to your questions as they are specific to your Zoom device, not related to Linux. So NOW I guess the question is can someone recommend an application that is good for se...

Re: Certificate Domain stuff?

To the admins of this site: Can you please disable the encryption , if you can't fix the certificate domain name mismatch? The way it is now it doesn't add any security (as the security certificate is unverified for this domain name, therefore wide open to MITM attacks), and it just gets people use...

Re: Firefox says forum is "incorrectly configured"

The precise error is:

This Connection is Untrusted

linuxmusicians.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.grus.uberspace.de, grus.uberspace.de

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Re: How to check if an interface could work in Linux

Why don't you buy it from one of the online retailers (Thomann, MusicStore, etc...) as they give you 30 days to test it at home and if it doesn't work or even if you simply don't like it, you can send it back for a full refund.

Re: Is there an audio interface that I can use also as mixer

Uhm...what about this then? http://www.soundcraft.com/products/signature-12-mtk It looks good, seems to have a multitrack USB audio interface built in. I have no experience with it but in general I find Soundcraft mixers are usually of good quality with a nice sound (I own two: an 17 year old Spiri...

Re: Is there an audio interface that I can use also as mixer

Which one do you guys think is better? Sound quality-wise, especially? I have no experience with either of them but from what I read about them I would guess that the Phonic is better quality than the Behringer. I was quite interested in the Phonic some time ago but in the end I bought a Soundcraft...

Re: transition everything to Discourse

I think the current forum is just fine, I don't find that it's missing any capabilities.

Migration almost always cause lots of broken links and upset people who were comfortable with the current forum software due to having to adapt to a completely different forum interface.

I guess Article 6 was written by Microsoft lawyers. I wouldn't be surprised if 95% of this treasonous treaty was written by corporate lawyers representing all major US corporations.
