Search for <global> and after each global line, insert a volume line after it as so:

volume=6
If there is no global, then insert both lines above, at the top of the sfz file.

You're kidding!? Recognizing "note-on 0 velocity" as a "note-off" is a requirement of the MIDI 1,0 specification.
