Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
For my personal workflow still Ardour3 is my preference Bitwig is great for working with loops and also for recording track by track in a classical manner but Ardour is better when it comes to editing and arranging stuff, that is not perfectly in sync eg material, that is recorded by musicians in a...

In fact, my apt-get is broken, I can't install any .deb. Strange, but not bitwig related.stanlea wrote:I tried to install the demo but it just crashes the debian installer.

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived
I run T5 and I appreciate the concept, the interface, the ease of use. But - and it's really a no-go - I have big CPU issues. Loading 2 effects makes it glitch and freeze. Maybe my computer is too old now, or my graphic card. More, non-JUCE guis don't work. For now, I still use the Ardour.

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Yeah I know there are presets, but there is no way to load them with the actual lv2 build. That's what I meant.danboid wrote:stanlea:
Surely there is a preset system else what are the links to patches for on its homepage?

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Do you have an exemple of a working vst with transport ? I can't find any working. I tried with the JuceDemoPlugin but it was using the linux build (but still via bridge). I'll going to test with this and check if all is working: http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=Big%20Clock That one doesn't work for me...

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
I think you should not give up. Google around and you'll see that this card is not recognized by REMdigicontrol and the HDSPware, but some people semm to have success, given some manual settings. Maybe you should ask Paul Davis directly, he is the maintener for the alsa driver. He's the main develop...

Re: Run RME Digi96/8 pad in Kxstudio
So you're on progress...
Idon't think you should use RMEdigicontrol, but instead HDSPconf and HDSP mixer. They should be installed in your system.

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Last night's carla-git loads windows vst now. Obviously, not all, but the problem is often on the gui side. For now, I consider it fixed for me. Thanks FalkTX : what was the problem ?
