Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
I appreciate the insight, but apparently loading DSSI effects in Muse2 requires a flag that breaks loading the same effect as a LADSPA in Ardour3, being compatible in one appears to be mutually exclusive to being compatible with the other. The LADSPA/DSSI constructor contains no arguments, so I'm sk...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Actually, some of this is what I'd like to call "The stupidity of LADSPA flags, and the DAW makers that implement LADSPA/DSSI poorly". Without my exact per-DAW notes handy, what I've encountered is: 1. Ardour won't load LADSPA plugins that don't have the inline capable flag 2. Muse2 won't ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Many thanks to FalkTX, I just pushed his Makefiles to my master branch, as well as some other changes to my build/packaging system to make it all compatible. I also added the audioEditing category to my packaging system, per GMaq's request. Unless anybody here needs updated .debs from my SourceForge...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Many thanks, FalkTX, I'll test out your patches this weekend and apply them to my master branch if all goes well. One day soon when Linux dominates studios big and small all over the world, you'll deserve at least half of the credit for it's success. @GMaq: Every other build of LMS Suite since I fir...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
I just tried the last source tarball, but it doesn't even build... :( you should *really* consider using a normal build system, qmake or cmake are good examples (qmake is easier and has deep integration with qt). ... Although I see and understand your reasons to have a custom build-system, you'll o...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Alrighty, 12.05-2 available now from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmodsynth/files/plugins/ Compiled in a Ubuntu 11.10 VM, I attempted to test in an AV Linux VM, it appeared to start, but Virtualbox clearly wasn't going to have anything to do with it  GMaq: Let me know if that worked ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
It turns out that the package produced doesn't work in AV Linux because I hadn't accounted for i686 as an architecture, so the package is created as architecture: unknown, which then causes the install to fail. In the next couple days or so, I'll update that script to work properly in AV Linux, and ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
You guys are on top of it... Good call, I suspect you all are right... I just finished trying it in AV Linux, and couldn't figure out what went wrong. Still very much being a Linux development n00b, I had compiled LMS Suite 12.05 on the latest Ubuntu 12.04... I'll re-upload a version compiled ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Doh! I didn't test it extensively because I didn't think anything would be broken... I'm a little perplexed myself as to why that's happening now, but not before. Most of the plugins had zero code change, and the dependencies I removed shouldn't have caused this. The plugins were already LADS...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
I have some C++ and Qt skills, and I'll surely like to help out after I finish some things here (Cadence beta1!) Wow, when I posted that, I thought that at best I might attract some newbie developers that I could teach audio DSP/plugin development to; I never dreamed that somebody of your calibre o...

LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
.debs and source tarball available here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmodsynth/files/plugins/ What's new: * Fixed dependencies to work in Ubuntu 12.04 (and hopefully not break anywhere else) * The effects are now available as LADSPA plugins in hosts like Hydrogen that don't support DSSI * User...

But it really was just a matter of circumstance You had time to make 43 posts on this very forum between me posting that branch and now, including your massive participation in the great politics/religion/OOMidi flamewar of 2012, you obviously weren't that busy. You asked, I dropped what I was doin...

Re: Incremental Goodness: LMS Suite 12.04, DSSI plugins for
Ok, I finally tested this. I should have done it long ago, but I was hesitant because I'd never installed a test thing like this before and wanted to find time to make sure I understood what I was doing. I think I did it all correctly. Don't you think asking me for help directly would've been the a...

Re: Hydrogen and LADSPA effects
Sweet! Many thanks :) The tracker artifact you created looks good to me, I don't see anything missing from it... It should hopefully be quite easy for you to implement, it was dead-easy for me; Just added 2 buttons to the UI, then connected them to a function that runs QProcess myProcess; myProcess....

Re: Hydrogen and LADSPA effects
Well, as seen previously on these forums, I'm the kind of person that if I say I'm going to do something, you can bet that I'm really going to do it  I just added "Open Sample in Audacity" and "Reload Sample" buttons to my own Euphoria sampler(in Git anyways, it'll be in...
