Re: What music did your parents play in the car at home etc?
Love this convo!:) He loved country and rock-n-roll 50s/60s. Mom was Steppenwolf, Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Otis Redding, Tina Turner and more RNB and Flower Power rock... That's some great exposure! This put the Donny & Marie earworm "a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll&quo...

Re: What Kind of Guitar Is That? v3
Looks a lot like a Rickenbacker Double-6 Lap Steel. Nailed it!! Very impressive sleuthing skills ;) Rickenbacker called it a D-12, mine is a 1948 or 49. The horseshoe magnet pickups are just incredible sounding. It's horrible that Rickenbacker doesn't make them anymore and tries to shut down anybod...

For your consideration...

This will be hard, easy, or just annoying, I'm not sure.

Re: kxstudio-meta-all
I did kxstudio-meta-all on my first install and got tons of things I didn't want. It seemed like 100s of things that I would never have time or the inclination to explore.
Much prefer kxstudio-default-settings to help get things set up correctly and then choosing what else I need along the way.

FWIW since it looks like you are exploring arps, Helm has this built-in and it works great (maybe this feature is in other linux-native synths as well but I've only used the one in Helm).

Re: What music did your parents play in the car at home etc?
Johnny Cash Nothing wrong with that. I love a lot of his music. Yes, he was great! I was very lucky Johnny and June Carter were my first concert, the only time I remember seeing live music as a kid. Would have been late 1970s. I just saw his daughter Rosanne do a lecture/performance a few weeks ago...

Re: What music did your parents play in the car at home etc?
Fun topic. There wasn't much music around at home. My mother had a only a few Ray Conniff Singers LPs that she would listen to over and over, and my dad had Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard 8 tracks in his truck. This will really date me, but the first thing I really remember hearing and falling in lov...

Sounds great. I'm a sucker for guitar-based pop like this. Do you have more more? The video is very sweet too.

Re: House Of The Rising Sun cover (yeah, that one)
Pretty impressive for the tools you used to make it, very well executed! Note that while House of the Rising Sun is in the public domain, a PA copyright does exist of the arrangement of the Animals version (of which yours is highly derivative). If you keep working on it, you might want to create an ...
