Re: Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
FalkTX, is it fixed? I've installed two updates of Carla, if I'm not wrong, but still won't open on my system.

Re: Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
, i did trie carla before in ardour and it loaded up but i dont use it as im not sure what to use it for as i generally just use plugins that work fine in ardour. Well, loading Linux Sampler looks simpler with Carla, and I am also contemplating on using some Windows plugins that I like, although us...

Re: Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
OK, but what package should I install, since this time I haven't built anything from source, I've installed all from kxstudio repos.

Re: Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
FalkTX, just to let you know, I've installed the 14.04 64 bit again from scratch, I installed the apps from the kxstudio repos, but still Carla's interface won't open in Ardour. Maybe it has something to do with the Unity?

Claudia JACK transport and Ardour
FalkTX (or anybody else who could help) is there a way to configure Claudia jack transport, or jack itself, so that when I use it with Ardour in sync mode, everytime I press the stop button the playhead stays where it is at the moment, instead of going back to the start, as it is doing now? When I p...

Re: JACK and YouTube
Got it!!! For those like myself who don't know simple stuff, once you start JACK, you have to go to your system audio settings and in the output tab choose Jack sink.

JACK and YouTube
I have Cadence installed, and when I open Claudia, there are Pulse Audio Jack sink and Pulse Audio Source. Is it possible to run YouTube with that, and how?

Re: Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
Well, I am using the kxstudio reps' one, but I have installed and uninstalled it once or twice myself. However, there is no ardour3 directory in /lib. There is one opt/ardour3/lib and usr/share/doc/ardour3, but there is no libQt in any of those.

Carla won't open in Ardour, Ubuntu 12.04
Hello FalkTX! I tried Carla LV2 plugin in Ardour in Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit and it worked great, but since I didn't like that Ubuntu version because I think it has some problems with the kernel, or isn't that much compatible with my computer (xruns, latency etc.) I got back to my trusty 12.04 32 bit bac...

Re: Impro-visor, Qsynth and JACK
EDIT:
After a new install of my system, now it works. I tried Band In A Box some week ago on Windows, and I got to say, I prefer Impro-Visor with Linux Sampler. Much simpler, straight forward and more useful to me. And free, alright

Re: Impro-visor, Qsynth and JACK
I tried that, but when I make the connection to the virtual midi channels in Impro-visor the whole system freezes and I have to restart it manually.

Impro-visor, Qsynth and JACK
Hello! Is there a way to connect Impro-visor, Qsynth and JACK, so that I could play along with Rakarrack simultaneously? In TuxGuitar there is a plugin that makes Qsynth recognizable, but in Impro-visor I see only Gervill in MIDI settings.

Something's wrong with KXstudio repo's?
I haven't been around for awhile, but yesterday wanting to spend some time with Ardour, I noticed that linuxsampler is not working. I thought it might be some bug or some update has messed something, so today decided to reinstall it, but I couldn't do it, because Terminal says it can't download it. ...
