I'm running wayland fedora right now and ardour is working fine, but I wonder if the plugins and in particular the kxstudio apps like cadence and carla will work ok. I'm fairly certain its a bit of redundant question since most stuff will probably work, and unless its tested one just wouldn't know. ...

If I install the repos or wait for the new kxstudio distro and then install wayland desktop, what are the chances that the kxstudio apps and plugins in the repos will work?

Is there anyway to install the kxstudio packages on Fedora?

I wondered if there is any list of debs that you hold so that I could download them and try and convert them with alien.
I might be able to write a script to do it, in the cases where it works.

I would agree with you there about the iso, but then ubuntu studio are dropping XFCE and moving to KDE plasma in the next release. They are also dropping support for the 32 bit platform, just in case any of your machines are old enough to use that. As it happens, what you said about the balls out KD...

note the hyphen in between example and clients.
