Re: List and Description of Guitarix Plugins

For the gxplugs which comes from the "extra" bundle, there are github pages with a short description for each plug, really basic only. you'll find them here: https://github.com/brummer10?tab=repositories Thanks! That helps! I thought there was a simulation of the SansAmp pedal for bass, n...

Re: Overtone DSP?

[snip] My personal evidence is that there was significantly stronger demand for my / our software than there is now. Its been a very successful venture, which is unusual - its hugely difficult to make any money at all as an independent developer. But, around the end of August / beginning of Septemb...

Re: Getting Ardour to Show DrumGizmo Main Window

Long shot, but who knows... Do you see the "Drumkit file" and "Midi map file" fields? Do you click on "Browse" and nothing happens? What happens to me is that when I click on "Browse" and the window to load the file always appear under Ardour's window. At firs...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

In particular, it works with Karoryfer's Fashion Bass Hey, that's great to hear! I remember when you were frustrated that you couldn't get that bass to make a sound from Linuxsampler. Thanks! Indeed it was frustrating... But it (the Fashion Bass SFZ) did not work as well as I hoped. But at least I ...

Re: IR loader

There is hardware IR convolver from AMT: http://amtelectronics.com/new/amt-pangaea-cp-100/ Also you may try this zero-latency convolver: http://lsp-plug.in/?page=manuals&section=impulse_responses_stereo but it's x86 and x86_64 only Thanks for the response! I had forgotten about your convolver p...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

I'd just like to report that it is working great in Debian Sid (with KXStudios Repositories) and thank the author.

In particular, it works with Karoryfer's Fashion Bass which I could not get to work with LinuxSampler.

Thanks again for the plugin!

IR loader

I've never played with the RPi, but I had an idea recently for which it might work: I wanted to use it as an impulse response (IR) loader. The idea is to connect it to the record out of my amp and use it simply to load an IR and send the signal out to the PA. I could use either IR.lv2 (http://librem...

Re: How2 X42 Autotune?

The MIDI part allows you to create a MIDI track with the notes that should actually be played/sung and autotune tunes the recording to those notes. (I haven't tried it though.)

Re: Help getting started

Hi, I´ve just started my efforts in doing some musical stuff with linux. Things seem to be a bit complicated at first. So I´d like to describe what I want to do and what I´m missing at the moment. [snip] What I am missing right now: - a good virtual drumset (or a way to use the independence free pl...

Re: JACK: Cannot use real-time scheduling

This is how I set my rtc & hpet in Mint, it is a bit tricky to get the magic sauce. Debian is probably similar. apt-get install -y sysfsutils /etc/udev/rules.d/40-timer-permissions.rules KERNEL=="rtc0", GROUP="audio" KERNEL=="hpet", GROUP="audio" /etc/sys...

Re: Audacity problems start in debian 9 stretch

As mentioned above you should not try to use audacity as root! This might well be why you are having problems.

Please, remove ~/.audacity-data again and try it without root. If it gives the "audacity is already running" error, remove it again and reboot, then try again.
