I just put the play head where I want the change to happen (in the main window) and change the tempo in the tool bar.funkmuscle wrote:Hey guys, I'm working on a new midi drum track and part way through it I'd like to change the tempo for a small section then back to the original tempo. How is that done in MusE?

Re: BiasAmp in Linux Wine
I did try Bias AMP 2 with no success: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=18962&p=97026&hili ... amp#p97026
I hope you find a way, though.

Re: New KXStudio Repositories
You can try apt autoremove (See apt's manual page.) Be very careful! In my experience it usually wants to remove way to much and could break your system. I would do a dry-run, saving the output to a file: apt-get --dry-run autoremove > autoremove.txt and then examine the file for packages that you a...

Re: Best practices for processing live recordings in Ardour5
I'm new to Ardour 5 and have been recording some friends jamming on my garage with 2-3 vocal tracks, stereo drums, keyboard, guitar, and bass. I'd like to mix the 2-3 hour recordings into individual mp3's to share. Is there a preferred way to do this? e.g. make new regions for each song and then ex...

Re: auto-return?
Hello finotti. We don't have such a feature. Ah, that's why I could not find it. :-) The closest thing we have to it is an 'auto-retake' feature during recording, which automatically rewinds the cursor and sets up new recording tracks after each 'take' to make it much quicker to keep on recording '...

auto-return?
Sorry for this very basic questions, but I can't find the answer any where... Is it possible to have the play head auto-return to the original position (of when you hit play) when you hit stop?

Re: New KXStudio Repositories
So, trusting that the new repos (which remove old) won't remove any of the installed packages, what's the process of then handling them? I understand I can manually figure out how to update (removing the existing installs, get updates however) stuff that's no longer in the new repos. But what's the...

New KXStudio Repositories
For those who haven't noticed: KXStudio has moved its repositories. Here are instructions on how to enable the new ones: https://kx.studio/Repositories The steps should remove the old repositories and install the new ones, and no installed software should be removed. Note that no new updates will co...

Re: Remove Automation
So do I just change the line:
to OFF in CMakeLists.txt and compile again?
Code: Select all
option ( ENABLE_LASH "Enable LASH Audio Session Handler (or LADISH compatibility layer)" ON)

Re: Remove Automation
Thanks, Tim!
I compiled the new version from master (3.1) and indeed, I could remove automation as you described, and all seems to be working well.
The only thing I noticed was that starting MusE automatically started a ladish session... Is that normal?

Re: Remove Automation
Thanks Tim for the great support (as always). One way to do this is as follows: Open each midi part in the Piano Roll Editor or Drum Editor and click the 'Ctrl' button and add the desired controller graph to be viewed, in this case probably the one desired is labelled "7 MainVolume". Then ...

Remove Automation
I could not find this in the manual... I've downloaded a MIDI file that came with some volume automation that I want to remove. How would I do that? (I'm on 3.0.2, compiled from source.)

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 Doesn't work
It should not be hard to make it work... The This sound device does not have any controls. message is normal, BTW. The first thing I'd try is to disconnect the DAC100 and try again. If no sound, in alsamxier check for the "master" channel. (Try F6 and then choose DEFAULT, no the 2i4.) Try ...
