Guitars, Mics,Amps AKA Your Gear

We need a section on what gear people are using to make their music. A friend of mine suggested this to me. He is new to the linux desktop and to recording on linux but he isn't new to having a ton of instruments and would like a section to discuss with other linux musicians.

Those sections are ment for mentioning used hardware and recording applications and not for configuration of software. Let's say that it's nicer to post into a specific section when it comes to configuring jack, how to compile new software via scons, how to get low latencies etc. etc. I think it wo...

No I run it through a mixer. And then use an RCA to stereo mini jack to run it direct to my tablet pc.

All my tracks are belong to Autumn Street records. And the lyrics aren't really complete yet. But when it's finished they'll all be on my website!

What hardware I use for recording music under linux.

I use an HP TC4400 tablet pc running mandriva linux.

It has a duo core 1.86 ghz processor and 2gigabytles of ram with an 80gb hard drive and a 16-bit 44,100khz sound card.

Audacity

Audacity is a great program. I actualy use an older build because the newest release plays back very very slow. Kind of strange. I've not been able to get reverb for it though. Anyone know of an easy way to add this effect in Audacity?

Oy, I'm posting. I have ardour on my computer but I've not used it to record anything yet. But I've done somethings with Audacity. I'm running a PIII M 1.2ghz 512 pc133 Mandriva 2007.1 Discovery.
