My ubuntu studio 16.04, accourding to documentation, has alsa-lib 1.1.0-0ubuntu1 and alsa-plugins 1.1.0-0ubuntu1

16.10 has
Alsa-plugins 1.1.1-1ubuntu1
And
Alsa-lib 1.1.2-1
