Free as in Freedom - The Symmetry

i've just finished working on a track which has been created using samples sent to me by Richard Stallman. The track itself is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike. Its titled "Free as in freedom" for obvious reason the track was created using LMMS as the main...

Re: netbook replacing a DAT?

yeah that would be a good use for it, if you can get a small usb soundcard, say something like tascam us-128 to work with it, that would give you phantom and other line-in etc... i've also been thinking a netbook would be really good to use for djing, too small a screen to do anything else but bigge...

Re: Ardour 2.8 is out with VST support (please donate)

yeah thats a massive problem thorgal, its because of that situation that lmms crazily can't run native linux vst's as its been so geared towards being compatible with the huge number of windows-based vst(i)'s. @funkmuscle - ardour is more than a lifeline for traditional multitrack recording studio w...

Re: Ardour 2.8 is out with VST support (please donate)

well personally speaking the RT issue doesn't matter too much to me, vst(i) support is more essential. although i use them sparingly, the native instruments in lmms are powerful once you scratch beneath their surface. sometimes a particular vsti just has "that" sound that you want so i'm glad i can ...
