Re: Looking for OSC (open sound control) to MIDI bridge soft
TouchOSC supports customizable layouts. You just create one with the editor... http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-editor

Re: Looking for OSC (open sound control) to MIDI bridge soft
You can use mididings as an OSC to midi bridge (http://das.nasophon.de/mididings/), it uses jack also. Then you can use puredata, which also uses jack. When you mention Android, I guess you've seen TouchOSC? http://hexler.net/docs/touchosc-getting-started-osc http://hexler.net/pure-data-patch-genera...

Re: Spammers working overtime
How about giving some more of the users here privilieges to remove spam?
And on another note, I don't understand how spammers think. Do they really think that posts like this one will actually earn them money? http://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php ... 976#p27976

Re: KXStudio and Marketing
Tried starting with the tutorials yesterday. It didn't turn out perfectly. I think I need to write some kind of script before just recording it...

Re: KXStudio and Marketing
Hmm, well, I think the best way for marketing would probably be video tutorials at first. I'm planning to do some video tutorials for/with KXStudio: - Installation on top of a fresh Ubuntustudio installation (a video tutorial to install ubuntustudio isn't necessary since you Just Say Yes, right?) - ...

Re: Large projects in ladish
So, how should I go about working around this then? Increase the jack timeout to seconds?

Re: Large projects in ladish
Even if it is due to a buggy application, it would make sense to be able to do a workaround for that buggy application. But I don't think it is because of that. If it was, wouldn't the whole setting up of the project fail?

Large projects in ladish
In my ongoing project with setting up a good working environment I wanted to have a default ladish project I can clone to quickly get started. In the template project I added a bunch of apps, such as: - qsampler / linuxsampler - amsynt - zynaddsubfx - jack-rack - qmidiarp - rakarrack - qtractor (wit...

Re: SuperCollider live session #5:Humanity before electric s
Nice.
Do you put up the session files somewhere? I haven't properly looked into supercollider yet (as with all the other cool things I want to play around with), so actual use would be interesting to see.

Re: Just released my first album
Nice work! As a note on you wanting it to be 100% open source. One thing I've been thinking about is that we really need some better guides on getting started with using Linux for creating music (and other cool stuff). Something like video guides accompanied with complete projects/sessions, so that ...

Five hour sunday project...
This was todays five hour project together with a friend. Our base premise was that we wanted to do something sounding a bit like Skinny puppy and that we HAD to put something on soundcloud before the day was over... :-) http://soundcloud.com/excds/shortest-path-algorithm Amsynth for a "dirty&q...

Re: monitor routing on m-audio fast track ultra 8r
Any further luck with this? I've got a Fast Track Ultra, and I do have a Windows installation (if I've already paid the M$ tax when buying the laptop, why not dual boot?). I've managed in Windows to use the configuration utility to make the inputs not directly route the sound to the output. I though...
