Re: Changing the location of Qtractor project files
i'll suggest you now to save your session into a archive/zip file (save as .qtz file suffix). then you can move it anywhere you like Awesome. Does that mean that next time I make a clip or record the .mid and .ogg files will also be inside the archive? Or is it just for the session .qtr? yes, as lo...

Re: Changing the location of Qtractor project files
How do I change the location where all Qtractor files are put by default? I'll start a project in home/me/project1 and then have .mid and .ogg files popping up on my desktop. maybe you've set your desktop as your session directory? please check File/Properties... (a dialog that you probably went th...

[ANN] Vee One Suite 0.3.5 - Fall greetings released!
Yet again, a new batch the Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments is out: synthv1 [1] polyphonic synthesizer, samplv1 [2] polyphonic sampler and drumkv1 [3] drum-kit sampler. As usual, all three are made available in dual form: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non s...

Re: qtractor's automation improved
I wasn't expecting those feature requests to make it for the next qtr dot release as my spidey senses tell me you'll likely be gifting the LA world with 0.5.11 pretty soon now, looking at how much has been added/fixed since 0.5.10. Great news. Can't wait to see the latest version, of this wonderful...

Re: qtractor's automation improved
would my wish to have three rows in the mixer for "in", "tracks", "out" be a big thing to code? I imported one of my songs to Qtractor and I am drowning in the mixer already although the audio tracks are not yet imported. that one won't make it so soon, also. sorry. ht...

Re: qtractor's automation improved
Those of you who don't read the qtr forums or follow its svn will prob not be aware that the latest svn version now allows you to copy/paste automation data! I think this is pretty big news as I know I'm not the only one who has been waiting for this very useful feature. thanks Dan. it has been all...

Re: qtractor startup on kxstudio
KXStudio sets up LV2_PATH automatically and qtractor works fine with it, are you sure it is overriding it? yes, i'm pretty sure it does when you set your list in View/Options.../Plugins/Paths alright. how could be any other uglier way? :) when that list is not empty, qtractor does its own internal ...

Re: qtractor startup on kxstudio
fyi. qtractor factory defaultfor LV2 plugin search path on x86_64 systems is hardcoded to: ~/.lv2:/usr/local/lib64/lv2:/usr/lib64/lv2 which means that LV2_PATH environment variable is overridden no matter what. but... now that you got it sorted out and up and running please go to (from qtractor menu...

Re: Qtractor: automation problems
I found a doc-bug on http://qtractor.sourceforge.net/qtractor-downloads.html#SVN svn co http://svn.code.sf.net/p/qtractor/code/trunk qtractor-svn should read svn co svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/qtractor/code/trunk qtractor-code why? doesn't the former work for you? not sure whether having either http://...

Re: Qtractor: automation problems
maybe solved on today's svn trunk already (qtractor 0.5.10.20+)bluebell wrote:"[qtractor:tickets] #69 Crash when having aux ..." has gotten some comments by me. I am unsure if I should open a new ticket. The crash is solved but more than 1 aux sends don't work.
cheers

Re: Qtractor: automation problems
Maybe automation data don't go to the synth plugin? that is weird. MIDI track volume/panning automation data should go to the output MIDI bus directly _and_ through the track's plugin chain as plain MIDI channel data (again, as either CC#7 or CC#10)--if that isn't happening then yes, something is m...

Re: Qtractor: automation problems
To automate something I tick "<trackname> Volume" and can draw some ramps but when I play them the automation has no effect. (qtractor) track volume (and pan) automation on MIDI tracks are for MIDI channel controller CC#7-Volume (and CC#10-Pan, resp.) messages. iow. they do not affect the...

Re: Qtractor: best practice for synth-plugins and effect sen
I think I'll go to the Sourceforge page and open a ticket. probably fixed already, on svn trunk aka. qtractor 0.5.10.17+ the issue was only easily reproducible after you've attached a minimalistic session file where it could be exposed... don't expect all issues be as easy fixed as this one :) hth....

Re: Qtractor: best practice for synth-plugins and effect sen
I'd like to use the LV2-module IR, a convolving engine. Unfortunately it doesn't remember the response file (*.wav) that I've loaded. When I load the session in Qtractor I have always to load the response file manually. Is this due to an incomplete LV2-implementation in Qtractor or a missing featur...

Re: Qtractor: best practice for synth-plugins and effect sen
- Synth modules I prefer "everything in one tool", so I use synth modules like fluidsynth, hexter and whysynth. As far as I have understood I have to create a midi track, load a plugin and connect it to my usb-midi-keyboard. That works. But the volume fader in the mixer seems to work on m...
