Re: Wsynth presets (esp. in Qtractor)

some notes of advice to the unaware... :) a. Wsynth is (or used to be) delivered as a DSSI plugin; b. these .qtx files are indeed Qtractor's own version of plugin preset files (plain xml) applicable to DSSI and (linux) native VST plugins only, never to LV2, which in fact has its own system-wide, use...

Re: MIDI Plugins in QTractor

Thank you again! If this is not true for buses, why did my first attempt in redirecting events from MIDI channel 1 to 2 not work? I had inserted the plugin to the MIDI master channel (input) and redirected channel 1 to channel 2. But still the events were passed to the track which had MIDI channel ...

that's of course true for tracks but not for buses.

for MIDI tracks you can also set them to 'Omni' mode for which it accepts input on all 1-16 channels.

hth.

Re: MIDI Plugins in QTractor

I own a stagepiano that lacks features of a typical MIDI-Masterkeyboard. So I am trying to achieve some of that with MIDI-Plugins. As a first exercise I wanted to map a midi-channel to another. you can't do just that on qtractor premises, but there are ways, read along... I have a midi track in QTr...

Re: Qtractor - Metronome 'Pre-count'?

sorry, there is no pre-count in qtractor.

as a workaround, you may set a punch-in/out range and the starting play-head before of that; though, the metronome will always click while playback/recording is rolling.

Re: How to get microtones from a chromatic midi controller?

Also, all of the Vee-One Suite (obviously drumkv1 is quite limited a nuisanse on this subject, but there anyway) have support to microtonal mappings as specified through Scala files.

Re: There's a lack of Qtractor video tutorials..

I tested it with several instances of zita autotuner, wich adds a noticeble delay. It's compensated when I check the new "latency compensation" of this track. I noticed that Calf Limiter doesn't report any latency although it's a lookahead limiter. Is this a bug in Calf Limiter or is it d...

Re: There's a lack of Qtractor video tutorials..

2. Automatic plugin delay compensation would also be a very nice addition to the above. nope. qtractor does not have support for automatic plugin latency compensation and there are no immediate plans to support that anytime soon. sorry. as a matter of fact it was today that the plot took a slight t...

Re: [Qtractor] Glitch when looping

how short is your clip?

at least in qtractor playback, very short clips don't get a chance to have an effective micro fade-in/out at the loop edges;
