Re: (Solved) QSynth and loading soundfonts - LATENCY

Ugh! I had network problems and couldn't post my solution. Qsynth lists the font as the last in the register. Simple huh? So I was thinking the top font was the soundfont being used. :D Anywho, that is now solved, some fonts work, others do not, but at least it is working. The only major pro...

(Solved) QSynth and loading soundfonts

After much deliberation and searching online this Sunday morning, I am lost. :? I have QSynth / Qjacktl / Rosegarden all working just fine, not a problem at all apart from some lockups which happens with all software. I downloaded and installed a new soundfont into: /usr/share/sounds/sf2 Brought tha...

Re: RT Kernel for Linux Mint 12.

Hi peeps, sorted thankfully, no xruns, and even rosegarden is working like a dream. I came across this link in an old archive: http://www.ubuntubuzz.com/2012/03/real-time-linux-installation-on-ubuntu.html It took me a few years to get my head around things, have the time, but I can finaly say, and t...

Re: RT Kernel for Linux Mint 12.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I went along to Launchpad but there was a problem with signup. Went here and installed the PPA https://launchpad.net/~bojo42/+archive/rt It still hasn't added the repo to synaptic when using 'linux-rt' search command. I've rebooted too. I remember there were 3 files I...

RT Kernel for Linux Mint 12.

Hi guys, long time no see. I've got the linux studio finally working, but have to say Linux Mint helped a great deal since it is built very solidly. At present I have kernel: 3.0.0-12-generic ***** I'm looking for a stable RT KERNEL release for this distro. I did post the link for everyone some year...

Developing on the strange - "will It Ever?"

Folks I took a detour with music recently. :D My new Video: http://www.reverbnation.com/chipfryer (Towards the bottom of the page) Obviously Linux helped in creating this since Windows Movie Maker can become troublesome. Hope you like it,any feedback would greatly be appreciated, and if you too are ...

New Video with new snippetts.

Hi Folks. I cannot say more about Linux, other than its saved me more times, than I care to remember. Recently I just completed a project....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDteiXUnsn8 I considerable trouble owing to there not being a Linux version of flash, so there was a lot of swapping a reboo...

Re: Several tunes made with din

Nice stuff Louigi! Loved the tonalities. Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted here. As some of you know, for the last week I have been exploring din, a great instrument (http://www.dinisnoise.org). You can read my short article about it here: http://www.louigiverona.ru/?page=projects&s=writ...

Hi Brummer / Pablo! Thanks very much indeed. Sorry guys. I've been up to loads of stuff of late. Busiest year in ages, for many reasons. Hopefully I can get my linux box back into shape and re-learn everything I've forgetton  Thank you once again. Looking forward to our exchanges in the nea...

Re: Video made with Kino

Thank you Jan, very much indeed. Well the voice is an accident really. My favorite band is Genesis, I make no counter on that at all. I just love that epoch, not just Genesis, but bands with stories to tell, a bit like childhood myths, if you will? Hopefully when I have my studio back up and running...

Re: Will this midi-keyboard work in 10.04

No reason on Earth why it wouldn't so far as I can see. I have an old Casio with midi in/out. Works just fine.
Hope this helps?

Re: Creating a Music video

Thanks for the replies folks. I've added the repo to my list (Cinelerra). I just get connection errors at the moment.
Does anyone have a compiled version for jaunty please?
Many apologies.
