Re: VeeSeeVSTRack for Linux [official beta binaries available-updated 11 March 2019]

@davephillips Thank you so much for all your work on this, I'm having some trouble building it (I need 64 and 32 bit binaries). I've followed the instructions on the git project page, I have the Steinberg SDK and have adjusted the path to where my folder is, I have all the necessary build dependenci...

Great one! I enjoyed it. I liked the drums but I like organic drums with synthesizers personally..

Re: liftoff (instrumental metal)

Hi,

I'm not really a metal connoisseur but great drum programming! Those blastbeats must be very difficult to nail that well. I agree you probably could use some better samples to make it a bit more dynamic. The guitar playing is excellent... if that's rough I don't want to hear smooth...lol

Re: Bluetooth headphones

As far as I understand bluetooth is handled by pulse, there is no bluetooth driver for alsa (there was but it was removed). Therefore it is impossible to use a bluetooth audio device with Jack. I'd be happy to proved wrong, but I believe that is the current situation. Hi Varpa, Not really intending...

Re: MUSIC DISTROS

I ran Manjaro at first, because I liked the idea of a rolling distribution. But an additional wrinkle was that my audio interface is firewire-based, and I had t...

Re: Best DAW for the casual beginner?

Thank you all for the tips! 1. Ardour I think that, apart from Qtractor, Ardour might be something for me. I always say that if you do not know a lot about a certain sort of application (like a word processor or a DAW) then choose the most popular one because then finding someone who can help you i...

Re: Anecdote for those who say that you can't make good music with free software

All the best music is made without any software. :P So true, they are indeed exclusive of each other... I think it boils down to "where there's a will there's a way". Music begins with a thought and through an infinite number of potential means that initial thought becomes sound, in my op...

Re: Extremophile (You're a star)

Hi,

Enjoyed it, thanks! Great Sounds!

Presswerk is an incredibly good plugin, it's worth it's price for the Limiter alone, but some of the drum compressors are amazing as well.
