Re: Show your Desktop

Here's my current one, I run dual head 1920x1200 The photos are from my phone of a recent 'Khruangbin' concert I attended. Yes the bassist is attractive but I'm more excited about those vintage silverface Fender amps.. :lol:

Re: What I Did Wrong

Hi, Nice work! Thanks for sharing! I like the 50's style ballad with the alternative rock sounding chorus thing you have going on there.. I've noted a few things... The acoustic guitar at the beginning is kind of 'boomy' I think it needs some lower mids and bass frequencies cut, on the other hand th...

Re: Most used Linux distribution?

FWIW,

I've heard of some people using MX with our AV Linux RT Kernel for music production.. Might be a possibility for those using MX who aren't getting the performance they want..

Re: Airwindows VST's

Hi,

Late bloomer to these, there are a lot of subtle ones with overlapping functions but some (ie BlockParty) absolutely kill! I'm still picking through them but so nice to have them in Linuxdom! I already have 5 or 6 of them in my 'favourites'.

Re: Jonestown

Hi, Just a horrible event in human history.. :( Your production skills are evolving very quickly! Great sounds and specifically the clarity of the production is very impressive, I liked the wide-panning of the percussion a lot (people are not very adventurous with panning these days). Bear in mind I...

Re: ZX Spectrum

@psyocean,

Thanks for sharing! I don't know much about the ZX Spectrum (I'm an old guy and got into computers later in life). I enjoyed the piece and the screencast of LMMS. I've never used LMMS so it was cool to see it in action!

Re: liftoff (instrumental metal)

@GMaq -- Thanks for the kind words re drum programming. I've actually been using the Hydrogen kit for a modified version of The Black Pearl 1.0 (I swap out the kick drum). So firstly -- many thanks for the samples! I like them quite a bit and I've been happy to find a kit I'm comfortable using. I a...

Re: VeeSeeVSTRack for Linux [official beta binaries available-updated 16 March 2019]

[ That's a quick test, so let's try it. Indeed, and in both Mixbus32C 5.1 and Bitwig. Also, in Mixbus32C (should be the same in Ardour) it is not possible to use the keyboard to look for modules, even with Mixbus' little green keyboard top right enabled. And since the keyboard can't be used, backsp...

Re: VeeSeeVSTRack for Linux [official beta binaries available-updated 16 March 2019]

@davephillips Thanks for your reply, my iron is pretty old here, my Desktop is at least 10 years old with 4Gb RAM and my laptop is one of the first DELL Centrino Duo's, still works like a charm at 12 years old! :lol: I will try another plugins build and see if it fails again... in the meantime I've ...

Re: First release of KPP Plugins for guitar processing!

@lililth

If the developer can't provide Stretch binaries I have some KPP testing packages for AV Linux built in Debian Stretch that I could put up, to be clear I will not be consistently maintaining KPP plugins packages but could share what I have for people to try in the meantime..
