Re: LMS Suite 12.06 - Big sampler improvements, more compati
jeffh, Just to clarify, going back over what happened with 12.05... your original debs based on Precise didn't work at all on AV Linux, when you moved back to 11.04 some of the debs worked (and still do currently) however Ray-V and Euphoria don't. falkTX has gone back to Lucid which has roughly the ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.06 - Big sampler improvements, more compati
Hi, @StudioDave Would you mind sharing how you're building them on AV Linux? The prebuilt debs aren't working for me and I haven't had time to dig into building them from source yet, are you using automake or jeffh's build system? Just a few hints would save me some time and I'd like to roll these i...

Re: Do I really need an RT(Real Time) kernel
Latency needs to 'low enough' not as 'low as possible'. Someone happily working at 10ms reliably will not care if 2ms is theoretically possible in a real world situation. My take on it is that "low as possible" means it will be "low enough" for more people. You don't have to use...

Re: Do I really need an RT(Real Time) kernel
Hi, FWIW we provide low-latency kernels for AV Linux however our kernel dev now has a testing repo with the latest 3.4 series RT's. So far the feedback on the rt's has been quite poor as far as reliability, unexpected x-runs and shutdown issues are concerned and a very telling fact is that we have s...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
jeffh, Wow thanks for all your efforts on this so quickly. I will mention some findings which you may or may not want to look into for your next release. I am now using falkTX's packages and the plugins all work as expected however the behaviour in different hosts varies, Rosegarden seems happy for ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Ooops  I guess I should have done some more clicking....I randomly selected the eq5 and the comb plugins to test both standalone and dssi, I then quickly jotted my hurried previous post and shut down my computer. Having another look tonight I was a bit dismayed when I noticed the rest of the p...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Alrighty, 12.05-2 available now from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmodsynth/files/plugins/ Compiled in a Ubuntu 11.10 VM, I attempted to test in an AV Linux VM, it appeared to start, but Virtualbox clearly wasn't going to have anything to do with it  GMaq: Let me know if that worked...

Hi, Great! thanks for being so accommodating :D I can wait no problem, I'm mostly just merging them in my next version which won't be released until the end of June so no hurry on my account. Just post when you have a new upload and I'll give 'em another go. I'm personally looking forward to Euphori...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Hi, Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone... As far a linuxDSP's suggestion of compiling locally is so obvious as to escape my attention, not to mention I'm google-eyed from compiling about 20 QT4 apps after breaking my AV Linux 6.0 development build but that's another story... I was being a ...

Re: LMS Suite 12.05 is now available
Hi, Couple of things... These plugins are no longer working on AV Linux 5.0.3, It may be related to a major foul up I made in development so don't be too concerned just yet. I'll get you some terminal output but I'm on the family Windows box right now. The plugins don't show up in Rosegarden or Qtra...
