Re: Exporting with tempo markers in Hydrogen

Hi! Ah, i see.. the bug is fixed in our git repository, but there were no new ubuntu packages since then. I actually don't understand why ubuntu use the 0.9.6 version in their distro, it is still in beta state :-/ Nevertheless, if you want to use the export with time markers, just get the latest ver...

Re: New-comer

Hi!

Have you tried the GSCW drumkit for hydrogen? It's a quite modern-sounding drumkit.. Btw. you can use the soundlibrary panel (on the right) to drag-and-drop instruments from different drumkits to your current kit/song!

Re: Exporting with tempo markers in Hydrogen

I'm making click-tracks for preproduction and Hydrogen is great for that, but when I export to .WAV all the tempo changes are ignored and the track is rendered all at one tempo. I'm using the Windows version, not sure how that affects things; it seems to work just like the Linux version, but maybe ...

Sigh :(
Well, not every user of hydrogen has the same objective. Just the contrary.. But if you have any ideas about how to do things more easily for a range of people, let us know! Hydrogen's issue tracker is open for everyone..

Re: Hydrogen Help Required

No, this is no possible, but you can contact us (via the hydrogen bugtracker [1]) and ask if we can upload the kit to the server.

Re: The quickest, simplest sampler?

As far as I can tell Hydrogen can't spread a note across more than one MIDI note or make a sound loop until noteoff. Not sure what you mean by spreading a note across more than one MIDI note. Hydrogen can loop a sound until noteoff though. I think that means you load a recording with a tone 440hz a...

Re: Hydrogen and LADSPA effects

Hi! After thinking about the feature some time i think that this is something which can be handy for a lot of people, so i created a ticket for it and i guess it will be implemented in the next version of hydrogen (0.9.7), since 0.9.6 is feature-complete. New features introduce always these nasty bu...

Re: Hydrogen and LADSPA effects

The nasty part is to detect automatically when the editing in the external editor is done (in a cross-platform compliant way). I think letting the user hit a "reload" button everytime is not a good implementation :-/

Re: RFC on a Guitarix preset site/'store'

Hey, have a look at how we're doing this in hydrogen. Hydrogen manages lists of drumkits/songs/patterns that are stored at a remote server. You could call this a "library", and it is nothing else then a XML file that holds all metadata about the media items as well as links to the items. J...

Re: Hydrogen and LADSPA effects

Hi Jeff, i would recommend to use hydrogen in combination with its jack per-track outputs and an external effect host. The internal effect routing of hydrogen is rather crappy. We're aware of this fact, but up until nobody had the motivation to give it a rewrite. The editing of samples in an externa...
