Re: New server for downloading Hydrogen kits

The latest hydrogen from git works and has many new features, I'm not sure why it's not the official release yet. It also h...

Re: Alternatives to Hydrogen?

Hi, even if you're looking for an alternative, i'm trying to answer some questions, maybe it helps other users who have the same problems.. So far I haven't found a single spot where the mouse right button will serve any purpose. The right mouse button can be used to edit the note length. The scroll...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released

There is at the moment very little added functionality (see https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/wiki/New-features-in-Hydrogen-0.9.7 , i'm trying to keep that up-to-date with 0.9.7). But i would like to recommend to package 0.9.6.1 and use the 0.9.7 only for sth. like a 'hydrogen-git' or 'hydr...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released

Hi GMaq,

have you tried to grab a recent hydrogen from the 0.9.6-branch and build with the old libarchive version (libarchive2)? I've added some IFDEFs in hydrogen to allow both libarchive2 and libarchive3. I think that 0.9.6.1 will be out later today with those changes + three bugfixes.

Re: Web/Forum Hosting for Open Source Projects?

Not sure if it has forums, but Assembla looks promising. It's more of a full-featured project hosting service than, say, Github. I suppose you could get a .wordpress.com site and add BuddyPress forum plugin(s). We were using Assembla (with SVN) a as a Development Platform before we moved to github....

Re: Web/Forum Hosting for Open Source Projects?

Hi We use the Sourceforge web-space solution to host our project-page and the forum. For sure it isn't the fasted server, but it works well enough for us. Since we use the new Allura platform on Sourceforge, there is indeed a improvement to "4 years ago". Allura works pretty stable in the...

Web/Forum Hosting for Open Source Projects?

Hi everyone, i'm looking currently for some options to host our hydrogen forum. At the moment we're using the webserver of a developer, but i think this is not the perfect solution since it makes it hard to "share" the adminstration. Are there any (trustworthy and stable) services out ther...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released

Just checking this out now :-) Just as a note, i had to install some extra libararies on kx studio 12.04 as cmake was complaining about not being able to find libarchive. After looking through the release notes to see the dependancies, i noticed it says it needs zlib and libtar or libarchive. I ins...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released

Hi!

you can use both, i'm using the build script because it is a little bit more convient and it is easy to extend for development stuff.

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released

Hi! Thanks for trying that out! Hm, about your cmake issues: Please try to get a clean environment ( "./build.sh rm; ./build.sh c") and execute "./build.sh m" to build again. Or get a clean clone of our git repository. About the .deb files: The scripts for building debian package...
