Netjack and the Non-Session-Manager (nsm)

Tip: Use netjack or zita-njbridge with the non-session-manager (For Netjack2 see: https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=21009 ) In some situations it is necessary to have different audio programs running on different machines, connected by S/PDIF, analog wiring, or over TCP/IP as achieved ...

Netjack with a ethernet crossover cable

I post this a bit for my own memory, but years ago I think I was able to use netjack via a ethernet crossover cable. Not really know a lot about it, but posted it for discussion or as idea for you to experiment with and give us your feedback.

Define applications position at launch (lxde-openbox)

One-task-One-Tool = a=whole-lot-of-tools-for-a-whole-lot-of-tasks One way to deal with this issue is... of course the Non-Session-Manager. But then still, if you open a session, all those apps can explode in your face. To deal with this it is possible to define applications position when launching t...

Linux synth presets for AMS, PHASEX and whysynth

From the old box

https://github.com/grammoboy2/Linux-synth-patches

AMS has nsm (non-session-management) support. AMS is still a great toy.

Non-Daw: Midi hardware control for non-mixer, non-sequencer

Non-Daw: non-timeline, non-mixer, non-sequencer, non-session-manager To control non-mixer with your hardware controller, you've to use the non-midi-mapper (included with non). Just connect your hardware controller to input of non-midi-mapper in Patchage/Qjackctl/CarlaPatchbay http://non.tuxfamily.or...

Non-Session-Manager (nsm): make git snapshot backup

Make local backup snapshots of your project with git, ignoring the *wav files:

setup:

Code: Select all

cd to ~/NSM\ Sessions/my-session-folder
git init
touch .gitignore
echo *.wav >> .gitignore
usage:

Code: Select all

git add --all
git commit -m "write your commit note"

* Could apply to other projects as well of course

Re: Sequencing and recording of JACK/LV2 CV?

non-mixer patched for LV2 is in Kxstudio https://github.com/falkTX/non So non-mixer in kxstudio has LV2 support. The author of NON has his good reasons for only LADSPA support. But those who disagree can use the kxstudio version. FYI short explanation from the author of NON: Software CV is just digi...

I can't resist. But Non-Daw does automation via CV. How could you've missed that? :)

Back... in the days

Hi, I'm back checking out Linuxaudio after some years. Was quite active to get this forum board started when Nathan launched it and it's a pleasure to see that's still active! My plan is to learn SuperCollider, but it's hard to resist looking at how Linuxaudio has evolved. If you think about those d...

Re: Rakarrack LV2 Plugins

Great project.

It would be great if Rakarrack would have NSM support too!!! That's shouldn't be very hard to do right?

Re: Non-Mixer and LV2 plugins

Male was thinking a lot about the combination of lineair (together with non-timeline) and pattern based sequencing, and a useful combination between the two. Afaik he didn't came up with a conclusion/solution yet. I'm sure he will be back when he figured that one out. :)
