Re: LOS midi editor crashes the app when it closes

I'd very much appreciate anything you can do, thanks. OOM 2012 would be ideal at the moment.

LOS midi editor crashes the app when it closes

When i open the midi editor in LOS and edit an item, everything works fine. When i attempt to close the editor it crashes LOS. This happens every time. When i'm in the arranger window, and the midi editor is open behind it, if i delete an item, then the editor crashes, and pulls LOS down with it. Thi...

Re: Tracktion 7 is now freeware

Hi Alex! Sorry, i had to rearrange your posting, so it was easier for me. The track input list in T7 defines the number of inputs as a maximum of 4. So if i have 16 tracks, each transmitting a different midi channel, but i can only use 4 of them? No, that means you can use 4 midi devices (for examp...

Re: Tracktion 7 is now freeware

There is no technical aspect against it; but you normaly don´t wont a multichannel miditrack. It would only complicate the work on the events. But each track can receive an every channel (yes can be filtered too) and each track can send to another track. So no one holds you to set up an track with ...

Re: For those of you that use samplers - do you use GIG?

I have a lot of gig libraries, including some big orchestral sets. Are these big orchestral gigasampler libraries still available somewhere? I've tried to find gig format orchestral samples, but it seems like all of the commercial producers have discontinued those products in favor of ones that req...

Re: Seems like some layout improvements may be long overdue

This will seem like a dumb question, it does to me, but is there a default setting somewhere that enables me to set my midi inputs as global defaults for adding a new track? I'm using jack midi.

Re: Tracktion 7 is now freeware

I have downloaded this more for interest than anything else at the moment. Questions that don't appear to be answered in the manual. Are the midi tracks in T7 single midi channel only? That is, can we load an instrument like linuxsampler that has 16 midi channels per plugin instance, and use all 16 ...

Re: For those of you that use samplers - do you use GIG?

Hmm... :? "All the time" and "Quite frequently" sound like a bit too much for me, but I do use GIG and SFZ to some extent, along with WAV samples. This is worrisome because Carla is all I have for now. I have this 'ls16' you speak of, but Carla won't find it. Running it on the c...

Put me down for user defined defaults, not only for vertical zoom, but horizontal as well.

Re: muse3 crashes when adding more than one midi track.

It works. I successfully built using the internal lv2 libs, and successfully saved 3 presets. I agree with you that "remove" and "modify" would be useful additions to the preset window. I can manually remove presets from the directory they're stored in, so there's an option alrea...

Re: muse3 crashes when adding more than one midi track.

Thanks.

I'll test it and see what happens. I'm going to use the internal lv2 support for now as i still can't get that patch to work on the system files.

I appreciate you doing this quickly.

Re: muse3 crashes when adding more than one midi track.

I had the same failure with the system lilv as i described above. My attempt to patch the internal failed as well with a different message: alex@alextone:~/github/muse/muse3/muse/lv2Support/lilv-0.22.0$ patch -p1 -i /home/alex/lilv_state.pat patching file src/state.c Hunk #1 FAILED at 495. Re: muse3 crashes when adding more than one midi track.

Tim, i'm assuming you want me to patch the lilv code in a folder in muse, which i have located. alex@alextone:~/github/muse/muse3/muse/lv2Support/lilv-0.22.0/src$ ls collections.c lilv_internal.h pluginclass.c scalepoint.c util.c instance.c node.c port.c state.c world.c lib.c plugin.c query.c ui.c z...

Re: muse3 crashes when adding more than one midi track.

Tim, a follow up to this challenge. I completely removed all reference to Muse3 (and Muse) and rebuilt and installed from git. The problem seemed to be building from a git source that wasn't on my machine. (I'd pulled git onto a removable hard drive, and attempted to build from there. My audio boxes...
