Re: Midi ports.

I'm thinking further on this, and maybe a longer term idea for you to consider. The process of creating a track is a fairly lengthy one when creating a lot of tracks. Which track type to use, which synth to push midi to, which input and output, and selecting each input for each track. These are all ...

Re: Midi ports.

Robert,Tim, thanks. I changed the number of ports, and it worked. I now have enough to complete the template. And i can change it again if i need more. As to your idea, i think it's excellent. If the user can create ports as required, then you solve a problem across various workflows for muse users....

Midi ports.

Tim, any chance of increasing the maximum midi port count? Maybe 300?

I've got a big orchestral template and some extra instruments running outside Muse3, and i'm short of a few ports to add the rest of the instruments.

Hi Tim, pulled from Git. Testing. Seems ok so far. I can confirm the Midi window looks as yours does, here.

Re: Global commands

Something like an added column in the port window, and we select the input ports we want to add to tracks automatically, as each track is created? The 'Def(ault) in ch' column in the midi configuration dialog? Select whatever input ports and channels you want to apply to every track. I tried it and...

Global commands

Tim, I've set up a test 190 track template using just midi out to a Linuxsampler session, which is running all my gig samples. So far so good. Muse seems to playback my test project without glitches, and i have only had the occasional hanging note. An observation as i get into the workflow of Muse a...

Re: linuxsampler lv2 saved presets do not load.

Hmm, that's weird. The version i was using that didn't work was from kxstudio dec242018.

Anyway i've removed all those versions and have Dave's git versions instead.

Re: linuxsampler lv2 saved presets do not load.

Tim, thanks for the heads up, that worked, and it was the Jan 11 commit that fixed it.

Onwards and Upwards.

Re: linuxsampler lv2 saved presets do not load.

Tim, what was the date of the commit by Dave? January 11th?

"Use a clearer name for state directory and improve documentation" ?

Is that what you're referring to?

linuxsampler lv2 saved presets do not load.

Tim, i think we had this once before. i create a preset, save it in a specified location (/home/alex/muse-presets). Muse creates a folder with symlinks to all the gig files loaded, plus manifest files, in /home/alex/.lv2. I load a new linuxsampler.lv2 instance and select the preset i want. This erro...

Re: Saving in the DSSI protocol

Tim, we can try. A suggestion and a question. Save a synth/lv2 instance with the song template as a named instance. (linuxsampler-lv2 is renamed to 1st-violins for instance) When the song template is added to the base project it loads the "1st-violins" synth, which identifies as a unique p...

Qsampler as a LV2 plugin gui

Rui, I have a question about using Qsampler as an LV2 plugin instance gui. I load an LV2 instance in a track as a plugin. I can open Qsampler and it will automatically detect the plugin instance, with all the toys to add, edit and remove gig instruments. But i can only do this for the first instance...

Re: Saving in the DSSI protocol

Ok Tim, and thanks for testing this, i think i get it now. I'll try and contact the dev of LS16 and see what he says about updating it and adding save and preset restore functions. I may also ask him if he can do the same sort of gui for LV2, as there isn't one currently that will allow using a gui ...
