Re: Gullfoss

Hey, do we have anything like this for Linux? Not directly same thing, but for same need: https://github.com/sergree/matchering https://github.com/brummer10/GxMatchEQ.lv2 Yes I use both of those but what those do is try to match up my mix something that I thought sounded similar in most aspects. An...

Hey, do we have anything like this for Linux? https://www.soundtheory.com/home video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyqRALqicA4&t=28s Ok, I know we have some engineers here and y'all will say use your ears but when you're in a bedroom that's not treated and you cannot afford studio sessions a...

IIRC You need public key installed.

Maybe it's simpler to replace git@github.com: by https://github.com in .gitmodules?
nope, none of those work. This is weird. I've tried a few other GH installation and no issues.

Re: All SocaLabs plugins open sourced.

But the git pull works instantly, only the submodule fails. Isn't this all coming from the same servers? I've been trying for the past few days and this just dies at the exact same play saying that retry scheduled. Do you have an account on github setup? I don't think git links will work unless you...

Re: All SocaLabs plugins open sourced.

This happens when I try to build this. Seems like only a temporary failure to reach the github repos. GH has been having trouble these past days... Ok, I just pushed a change to master. Can you try again? I'm afraid that didn't help. But when I recompile 'Compressor.so' with make CONFIG=Debug it st...

Ok, I just pushed a change to master. Re: Guitarix gets Power Amp selector

yep, nothing saying poweramp there. If there is no PowerAmp plugin, you properly running a older version then the new one from latest git. If you found it now there but mean you didn't have expected it there, then yes, but were should I put it? Distortion sounds as well the wrong category, maybe we...

Hi
Nice to hear you get it running.
Well, it's a bit unfortunate in the Category "Guitar Effects".
The plug itself is called "PowerAmp".

Re: Guitarix gets Power Amp selector

Ok so I've got it up and running but I don't see any difference. Where is this power amp section? What is it called?

Also to help that bass guitar cut through the mix, I put either one of those terrors on the bass guitar track. Especially if you're doing modern metal.

Yep it looks like the cpu was on it's last legs.
How old was it?
AthlonFX 3100 Quad core
Funny thing is that the i7 when I researched it, it said quad core but this is how Arch sees it:

Code: Select all

Intel i7-2600K (8) @ 3.800GHz
Ardour sees 8 processor and also Mixbus32C. Sure runs like it too.

Re: governor issues on Arch

It was my PC. While troubleshooting yesterday, it kept dropping the wifi then randomly shutting down. Scored a used i7 8 core. Thank God I use Arcolinux(Just 100% Arch with a quick graphic installer) and thank you to whoever pointed out to use Tuned.
Made setting up a lot faster.
Thanks again everyone

Re: governor issues on Arch

Tuned is a sweet program. Yes less cpu used but the slowdown, robotic sounds, pops and crackles didn't stop. look, no xruns either: cadence.png I have a USB mouse, usb wifi which is usually off when mixing/recording and 2 usb drives attached for storage. To bring on the issue, I'd test stuff and I'...
