Re: guitar amp/cab sims with impulse response loading

hey brummer, I was looking at some hardware out there for guitar like preamps and pedals. Most of them use to come with amp/cab sims. Now, because of impulse response, they have removed the hardware amp/cab sims. I even emailed one pedel maker and this was his reply: Hi! Thank you! Most of the time ...

Re: jack_capture V0.9.30

doesn't jack_capture come with jack_capture_gui2? jack_capture_gui2 is not found on my system and I installed jack_capture V0.9.30. Is it a different package?

Re: jack_capture V0.9.30

Yes, I installed it the day it came out but I'm not that good with guessing how apps work. How do I launch the gui? I tried every command under the sun. I know how to launch jack_capture but not the gui.

schivmeister, the version of dssi-vst I uploaded to the Arch proaudio google coding site and dssi from the Arch extra repo works with Qtractor which runs vst and vsti fine.
I think you uploaded Qtractor to the google coding site.

ArchLinux is the distro of choice for me. I've tried Mandriva, Ubuntu Studio, 64Studio, JAD, etc and none did it for me. I had to stick with the apps the way they configured it. Arch is on the bleeding edge. I like that. They're updated with new apps faster than all except JAD maybe but if the app i...

khz, are you behind the rakkrack project? I like it for clean guitar and funky stuff. the cab sim, if you're on that project, have you thought of using and impulse response loader for the cab sims as explained on this link?: http://www.guitarampmodeling.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2452 Between rakk...

I'm not much of a tester but my system is an amd 2000+xp w/1gb ram so running many audio apps at the same time could be painful with cpu usage. I ran hydrogen, ardour, 2 vsts via vsthost(dssi), qsynth all at the same time without any xruns and the cpu useage meter in ardour only stayed between 15%-2...
