If you are using the audio interface mainly for virtual synths with occasional live recording, the UMC204HD will probably satisfy your needs for a good price. I have owned a UMC1820 for 6+ years and am very happy with it, but if you don't need the extra inputs and outputs, why spend money on them? ...
